Locals eat here. It is not in the tourist area. But it is near the AC Marriott Hotel. This quaint restaurant offers local sourced foods and wines. All from Tuscany. The owner chef works mainly with the wiatress Aurora who openned the restaurant together years ago. The interior features table tops completely adorned paintings of city scenes. The walls feature traditional paintings ans sculptures. I had chicken with mushrooms and tomato sauce. A side of potatoes. The chicken fell off the bones and was delicious. The potatoes were the best tasting I have ever eaten. Thatts a lot to say about potatoes. He bakes them skinless in fork size pieces, They were perfect. The house wine was very good. But they feature many local wines for every taste. I strted with a caprese salad done the way I prefer. Slices of mozzerella covering slices of tomato single layered covering the platter. I give it five stars for Food, Atmosphere...

However, husband ordered the Tuscany grilled veggies main dish and the eggplant parmagiano and both were underwhelming and expensive for a few slices thin slices of eggplant, zucchini, etc. There was a 2.50€ cover charge per head (10€ total) which wasn't mentioned in the menu. I wouldn't say the price ratio...
Read moreBy far my favorite restaurant in Florence! The atmosphere was great and the staff was friendly. The service was very good. We had the 3 course meal for two. Prosciutto and salami mix for antipasto, potato ravioli and tomato soup for primi, and steak for secondi. We also ordered tiramisu for dessert. The prosciutto was delicious and flavorful. The ravioli mixed with tomato soup and using the bread for scarpetta afterwards was very good. The steak was AMAZING. Due to being pregnant, I had to order it medium well but it was still amazing. I can only imagine how great it must be rare. The tiramisu was the perfect end to our meal. We had a great time and talked about how we wish we had found this restaurant before our last day...
