Stayed in the hotel and booked dinner in the restaurant. Its located in a beautiful Old building with a big log fire. The furnishings are very nice, there's a comfortable sofa to sit and take a drink and watch the fire. You could easily spend the whole evening here. We had a lovely table by the fire it felt super romantic. The staff were excellent they couldn't have done more for us and, they really looked after us. Very good food with some very nice flavours and a good selection of wines. Overall the cost was very good value for money. I'd recomend Riva kitchen if you want a unique experience. It's also a great option if you are staying in the hotel and want to relax after a day of site seeing. Ask for a table by the fire if there's just two of you...
Read moreMy husband and I took a cooking class at Riva Lofts with Chef Michele in early October. Over the years I have taken many cooking classes in Florence and other places, and I would rate this class #1 by far. The facilities for teaching are excellent and Chef Michele has a gift for teaching as well as cooking. He is an inspired chef who truly wants to impart his knowledge and enthusiasm for food. He provided step by step guidance for making tortellini and a meaty Ragu. If you only take one cooking class in Italy, take it with Chef Michele at Riva Lofts.
We had dinner the next night in the dining room. Wonderful experience & the food...

Can't recommend this place more and we can't...
