Ristorante Core a Core — Restaurant in Forio

Made a reservation based on a recommendation for their gluten free options. While the restaurant itself was a fine atmosphere, a bit more on the touristy side- the prices for the quality of the food delivered were appalling. I have lived in Naples for years and have eaten at so many restaurants but this is one where I was sorely disappointed. While the prices itself were quite high even for the location of the restaurant, it really was the food itself that has pushed me to write this review. I ordered ravioli and what was served was 4 dumpling like small pieces that I was told was the entree serving. This was 22 euros which seemed reasonable for a plate of seafood ravioli but not 4 pieces that could fit in my mouth at the same time. The taste was bland and I could not distinguish which type of fish was even really placed inside the “ravioli”. In addition to this we also got the rabbit ragù which we found bones in. The wait staff also seemed very sneaky as they consistently placed water and wine at our table even when we did not request or want it and then insisted on adding this items to the bill. Typically at an Italian restaurant it is customary to wait for drinks or refills to be requested but they continued to push these on us without our requests. I recently dined at Core Core Restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, every dish served was a masterpiece, showcasing the chef's dedication to quality and flavor.

The meal began with the bruschetta with polpo, which was nothing short of amazing. The tender, flavorful octopus paired perfectly with the crisp bread and fresh toppings, setting the tone for what was to come.

As we moved on to the mixed fried seafood of the Gulf, I was blown away. Each piece was perfectly fried, maintaining a delicate balance between a crispy exterior and succulent interior. The freshness of the seafood was evident in every bite, making it a standout dish that I highly recommend.

Overall, it’s hard to pinpoint a single best dish because everything was simply outstanding. The attention to detail, from the presentation to the flavors, truly made this dining experience special. I had the pleasure of dining at [restaurant name] recently and it was an exceptional experience! The restaurant is characterised by its excellent cuisine, especially the fish dishes are an absolute highlight. The quality and freshness of the fish are impressive, and the preparation is on point. Every dish we tried was not only first class in flavour, but beautifully presented.

The service was equally remarkable. The staff are not only attentive and friendly, but also extremely knowledgeable and courteous. We felt well looked after from the moment we were welcomed to the moment we left. The waiters' recommendations were excellent and contributed greatly to our wonderful culinary experience.

Overall,is a place I can recommend to anyone who appreciates excellent food and first class service. A must for all fish lovers and those looking for a special culinary experience.
