Hermes — Restaurant in Gaeta

My wife and I stayed in Gaeta three nights. We ate here our first night and enjoyed the food and atmosphere very much. Tried another local restaurant the second night, but had to come back here on our last night. The chicken breast with pepper and olive sauce was delicious! Fantastic bar. We stopped here for an aperitivo and the view and wow the service and quality of the drinks blew us away! Great negroni, really well made and balanced. Also the drinks come with an amount of snacks that knows no bounds. Fresh and tasty. We watched the sunset and had a great great time. Domenica a pranzo, siamo tre ospiti, chiediamo dove accomodarci e ci viene detto di scegliere qualsiasi tavolo, dopotutto il locale è quasi vuoto, scegliamo un tavolo da quattro per non impegnare un tavolo da sei, ci vengono lasciati i menù e veniamo abbandonati per più di 15 minuti. Cerco di catturare l'attenzione dell'unico cameriere, nulla, dopo altri 5 minuti riusciamo a fare l'ordine di tre panini. Nel frattempo arrivano tre clienti (abituali), che si mettono davanti al nostro tavolo squadrandoci dalla testa ai piedi.. sono un gruppo, forse abituato a sedere in quella parte del locale, dopo l'arrivo delle bevande e costantemente accerchiati da questo gruppo, arriva il proprietario che giustificandosi di non avere spazio (ripeto il locale era quasi vuoto) ci chiede di spostarci ad un altro tavolo, per concedere quella zona ai "Signori". Ci spostiamo, senza proferire parola, consumiamo il panino (mediocre), chiediamo il conto, nessuno si fa vivo, entro nel locale per pagare, ci vengono aggiunti extra sullo scontrino. Vergognoso è l'aggettivo giusto, non si può chiedere ad un cliente di spostarsi se non ci sono delle reali esigenze organizzative dei posti a sedere, solo per favorire altre persone, che siano parenti o amici è davvero imbarazzante e molto,...
