Unfortunately, I have to agree with other reviewers. Ice cream was decent though did not live up to the presentation. What made the experience subpar to us was the fawlty towers like service - without the laughter. I was inside with my kids to get ice creams for the family (have the kids point out their preferred flavours which basically is half of the fun for them) only to be told that we had to order outside on the terrace, where the rest of the family was waiting. Promises of a menu listing all the flavours were not met so we had to order by memory. Also, service was slooooooow... I know that to someone without kids this may not sound overly burdensome but believe me, when you have two toddlers already pointing out their desired flavours only to be told to go outside and basically wait for 15 minutes for their promised ice creams, that's 15 minutes in Dante Alighieri's seven circles of parental inferno. Go here if you want decent ice cream (allegedly the best in Gallipoli), if you don't have kids and are not in any...
Read moreIf you want the worst ice cream in gallipoli served to you by the worst waiter around, go here. Here's my experience; Sat at a table and no sign of a waiter, so I head to tbr counter and im told that to sit at a table i must order at a table. So I go sit at a table. Surprisingly, no waiter to be seen. I go back inside and explain that I want to comply and order at a table but they have no waiters. The lady turns to some kid who's having a laugh with his friend and gives out to him. He follows me to a table and takes an order. 38minutes later when everyone else has been served, he brings out our order, forgot some items, and what was delivered was awful. Tasteless ice cream. Im choosing not to be sensitive or paranoid but as he left our table each time, he appeared to be making comments to another table in italian. Avoid this place. They...
Read moreNot recommended! The ice cream is good enough but...Our waitress was grumpy and not helpful at all. We ordered Spritz and she asked if we wanted snacks to go with it, to which we said yes. We are used to snacks being included in the price with Aperol Spritz in Italy, which was not the case here! In addition to the Spritz being watered down (this was also a first in Italy!), the snacks cost 10€!!!! There was no mention of the price when we were asked, so naturally we feel taken advantage of! Don’t let the nice-ish looking Café fool you! They definitely take advantage of tourists, especially if you don’t speak Italian. This is the kind of experience that leaves a...
