This was a very disappointing evening. Based on the reviews we had high expectations. I ordered the seafood platter with octopus, shrimp, and squid, and a side order of grilled vegetables. My seafood plate was terrible. There were only a couple of pieces of octopus, and the rest was mostly over cooked, rubbery squid. The shrimp were plentiful, but were very small and not de shelled in any way. By the time I’d removed the shells there was only tiny amounts of shrimp left. To add to the disappointment, the food lacked any flavour, sauce or spice to give it taste, and it was only slightly warm. The side plate of grilled vegetables was no better. They were cold by the time we got them, and there was no taste.

Purtroppo mi trovo a fare una pessima recensione. Eravamo 11 ragazzi a cena e il cameriere ci ha proposto il "menù fisso a €25", che prevedeva 4 antipasti e pasta con cernia e pomodorini, bevande escluse. La pasta ognuno poteva scegliere la preferenza (paccheri, tagliolini...). Abbiamo accettato il menù fisso perchè il cameriere ci ha detto "Se non prendete il menù fisso mangiate tra mezz'ora e in più la cucina non riesce a far uscire 11 piatti insieme, quindi rischiate che qualcuno mangia da solo". Noi siamo rimasti tutti increduli, per un ristorante che si presentava così bene esteticamente era praticamente impossibile preparare 11 piatti diversi? Accettiamo il menù fisso e i 4 antipasti si sono rivelati 4 assaggi di pesce e cozze (non fresche). é arrivata poi la pasta DOPO UN'ORA e per lo più senza farci scegliere il tipo di pasta, perchè "è difficile preparare i tonnarelli per 11 persone, in cucina preferiscono i paccheri". Arriva il primo e troviamo le spine di pesce nel piatto di pasta, dove la cernia era sminuzzata. Quando il cameriere ci viene a chiedere come stesse andando, proviamo ad esporre i vari problemi riscontrati ma dall'altra parte il signore ci risponde che non essendo esperti di pesce non capivamo che in un piatto di pasta con cernia era normale che ci fossero le spine, era "indice di qualità e freschezza". Non solo, il cameriere ha anche alzato la voce e alla nostra affermazione "ci vergognamo anche a doverglielo dire perche non ci era mai capitato" il cameriere risponde "Fate bene a vergognarvi", dicendoci di non presentarci più. Dopo aver esposto i nostri problemi, il cameriere ci ha anche detto che la sera prima 21 ragazzi erano andati lì e, non avendo avuto nessun problema, quelli con problemi eravamo solo noi. Prima di andare via ci hanno fatto lo sconto e invece ci pagare 25 abbiamo pagato 20, raccomandandoci indirettamente di evitare recensioni cattive. Non ritornerò ovviamente più ed è un peccato perchè il ristorante si presentava veramente bene, nella terrazza con vista di Gallipoli, ma non ci è piaciuto per niente l'atteggiamento e come siamo...

Scapece is a specialty dish from Salento Puglia. The base are small fishes and bread crumbs both marinated in vinegar. If you like vinegar, you have to try it. I took tuna fish in crust and it was delicious. The dish presentation was also lovely. My daughter took the paccheri pasta with rana pescatrice dish and it was really good, both taste and presentation. The local chardonnay wine wasn't great, lack of body, but it didn't matter.
