Costa del Sud — Restaurant in Gallipoli

I can only speak for myself when I say that eating in a touristic area, anywhere in the worlds, fills me with dread. What good a prime location at heart of the city center does if the food is not to be enjoyed? It's true this problem is less prevalent in Puglia than it is in Paris or London for example, but still...I expected to leave Costa del Sud, for my pocket and sad for my stomach.

Spoiler alert, I was neither. And that's not because the friends I took to Costa del Sud decided to pick up the bill. The food exceeded all my, no, our expectations. We ordered raw seafood to start with, it was fresh. I don't mean fresh out of the can, but jumping out of the net into your mouth fresh. We all ate some form of pasta with seafood. The less adventurous had the pasta with mussels and the more daring had pasta with sea urchins.

The service was great, even if our food was a little bit late. I wouldn't have made a point out of it, but since we had kids there were some rangling with the monkeys to keep them in check. Aside from that I would never miss a chance next time I pass by Gallipoli to drop by Costa del Sud just to tickle my taste buds...

I had been following La Costa del Sud on social media from the UK for quite some time, and every post made me dream of the day I could finally experience it for myself. During our holiday in Gallipoli, we seized the chance and it was everything I had imagined, and more. The seafood was beyond exceptional: incredibly fresh, bursting with flavour, and so delicate that the taste lingered long after each bite. My husband was so impressed he couldn’t resist ordering a second round of the raw platter and it was just as perfect the second time! The restaurant itself is immaculate, with a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the passion behind every detail. What truly sets La Costa del Sud apart, though, is the hospitality. The team is not only professional and attentive, but genuinely warm, making you feel like part of their family from the moment you step inside.

This is more than a restaurant it’s an experience you’ll want to relive again and again. Without question, a jewel of Gallipoli. We’re already counting down the days until...

IT Prenotate, prenotate altrimenti non mangiate!..bisogna prenotare con un bel po' di anticipo ma credetemi , soprattutto per gli amanti del crudo, ne vale veramente la pena! Tutti i piatti che pubblicano o che vedete in foto non rendono giustizia perché godono solo gli occhi...dal vivo sono veramente superlativi, una samba per le papille gustative!!!Veramente degli ottimi piatti sapori unici, la freschezza dei crudi ve la ricorderete per tutta la giornata e appena finite di mangiare già ci vorrete ritornare!!!Complimenti a tutto lo staff servizio eccellente, rapido e cortese,qualità ottima al prezzo giusto!...e non posso non nominare la simpaticissima Giada, ragazza disponibile e molto professionale, ottima consigliera..quindi se siete indecisi sul che mangiare fatevi guidare da lei! 5 stelle per tutto bravi!!!!

EN Book, book otherwise don't eat!..you have to book well in advance but believe me, especially for raw food lovers, it's really worth it! All the dishes they publish or that you see in the photos don't do it justice because they are only a feast for the eyes... in person they are truly superlative, a samba for the taste buds!!! Truly excellent dishes with unique flavours, you will remember the freshness of the raw meats for the whole day and as soon as you finish eating you will already want to come back!!! Congratulations to all the staff, excellent, quick and courteous service, excellent quality at the right price!... and I can't help but mention the very nice Giada, a helpful girl and very professional, excellent advisor... so if you are undecided about what to eat, let her guide you! 5 stars for everything good!!!!

FR Réservez, réservez sinon ne mangez pas !..il faut réserver longtemps à l'avance mais croyez-moi, surtout pour les amateurs de crudités, ça vaut vraiment le coup ! Tous les plats qu'ils publient ou que vous voyez sur les photos ne lui rendent pas justice car ils ne sont qu'un régal pour les yeux... en vrai, ils sont vraiment superlatifs, une samba pour les papilles !!! Des plats vraiment excellents aux saveurs uniques, vous vous souviendrez de la fraîcheur des viandes crues toute la journée et dès que vous aurez fini de manger vous aurez déjà envie de revenir !!!
