Ristorante Pizzeria Jolly — Restaurant in Garda

The food here is outstanding — truly authentic Italian cuisine. I tried the pizza (perfectly fermented, light and easy to digest) and the pasta, which was absolutely spectacular. I also had two desserts, both delicious.

At first, I hesitated to go in because the place is a bit tucked away inside the town, but it turned out to be a fantastic decision. In Italy, the best trattorias are usually made by and for locals: they offer amazing food at very reasonable prices. In contrast, restaurants with scenic views or located near tourist spots often have lower quality and higher prices.

So, if you’re looking for some free advice: seek out the trattorias! And if you happen to be in Garda or nearby, I highly recommend this one. The service was excellent as well — the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Sad experience This restaurant has an unprofessional service level, to put it mildly, impolite but can be descriped as hostile as well. To send off a group of non-italian speaking guests, who were not happy with the food and services with the words "You don't have to come here again!" says it all. The wait for the food was almost two hours, even though the restaurant had been informed about a group coming and that they wanted to eat steak. Either the food was exagerated in quantity or the portions were way too small for the price charged. Jolly offers a good selection of dishes typical to the area, plus delicious, neopolitan-style pizza, baked in a wood-fired oven and having a thin, dense crust with a raised, bread-like edge. You can also order a whole wheat crust, which is equally as delicious. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. My husband wanted a pasta dish that was not on the menu, but they had no problem whipping it up for him anyway. I've eaten here several times over the past three years, and it's always fantastic!
