Another long day travelling around the area and I'm sorry to be a typical Brit but I just wanted a refreshing cuppa (green tea!). This is generally unavailable in the land of great coffee (nor would I expect tea to be readily available). This place was on our hit list to eat at, due to the good reviews, but it's easy to miss as it's tucked down a quieter street and it's charm isn't obviously visible. It was early Sunday evening and there was one outside table occupied. But our hearts sank as there were reservations on every table. We went inside hoping a waiter would take pity on us. The gentleman who welcomed us was fantastic. He found us a lovely table and we explained we just wanted a drink first and not to eat anything til later. While hubby popped to the bathroom I was asked what we would like. I explained that I didn't expect it but was there any chance of a tea and after a pause the gentleman found one for me! I don't know if he was the owner but the experience only got better. Other waiters and diners arrived but at no point were we hurried. We met our next waiter Luca. Who very proudly told us food was locally sourced. The cost of the meal was the lowest we found but the quality was excellent. Most of all the welcome and general friendliness of the staff made it...
Read moreThere is always a little gem you find in holiday locations and this one was ours, the group of Italians eating outside gave me the impression it was a good spot if locals go there. And we where not wrong , the staff where the first nice staff we met our waiter was class he showed us all the specials on the menu and explained what they where , we had been there the night before for a wedding meal and it was Pizza and was delish but later that night we had a tray of chesses some steak slices and some pasta , do the next day we returned and where not disappointed , the food was the best tasting and most authentic Italian food we had the whole week we where there. the food going out the door and past us was enough to make me stop them and ask what it was lol , tremendous food outstanding value fast and polite staff , and as is the tradition for the a good meal a shot of lemon chello for free at the end of it . reason for 4 star is the bar staff where quite slow the beer taps was very slow and selection of beers was quite limited but other than that can not be faulted for speed friendliness appearance and genuine Italian food. the pics show the justice of this place a gemstone on...
Read moreWhat a gem of a restaurant . So glad we came to eat here. We were looking for a restaurant away from the lake front as most of the food on there is more or less the same. I have to say the food, staff and service was so great we came back the next night. Wish we had come across it earlier. We will definitely eat here again on our return next year. The food was the best I have eaten in garda. Sea bass fillets not a bone in sight. Unusual for the area as they usually are served with the bones in most eateries and messy to eat. But well done to the chef it was beautifully cooked and so tasty. Linguine gamboroni another night was perfect also I cannot fault anything we ate. The staff are so friendly and really take and interest in proving a great service. Please try this restaurant you won’t regret it. It’s looks an unassuming place but there is so much space inside if you are unable to...
