Gemma Pizzeria & Cucina — Restaurant in Garda

We went for the Tui walk this morning and the Tui reps all recommended this restaurant for pizza. So we decided to go for our lunch and ordered a pizza to share. My wife ordered a small beer and I ordered a lemon soda. The waiter then took orders of other tables beside us. The other tables got there food and we didn’t so I asked where our pizza was (30 minutes we’d waited by this time) 10 minutes later the pizza came and it was cold 😠. I collard the waiter to tell him and he said they would make another one!!! I kindly declined as I had waited long enough. I said I’m happy to pay for the drinks but I can’t accept this pizza. He charged for the drinks but also charged for lake surcharge €3.50 each so the bill came to €14.50 needless to say I was very disappointed that I’d been ripped off for 1/2 pint of beer and a 33cl lemon soda bottle. I don’t do reviews but on this occasion I think the public should know about this restaurant as I don’t want any other tourist getting a bad experience...

When you enter this restaurant from the entrance on the main road, you'd never expect the beautiful terrace in the back. They have spots directly at the lakefront and some further back on a beautiful terrace where you can watch your pizza being made freshly in the oven.

They must have a location in Verona as well, because when I tried to reserve a table, they asked which location I wanted to reserve. Their phone number did not work for me, but they responded quickly via email.

Their food is absolutely delicious, especially their pizzas are on a different level. Very unique flavors and combinations that we have never seen somewhere else.

The staff is great with children, very friendly and speaks English and German as well, which is always very much appreciated since our Italian is non-existent.

All in all, an awesome place to dine in - check it out when in Garda or the area around. If you arrive right around opening time at 6 PM, you might even get a table at the lakefront without...

We were a party of 6 people, who ate at “Gemma Pizzeria & Cucina” restaurant at 7PM on a Sunday. During our dinner the waiter placed two of our orders incorrectly, and was both rude + combative when he was told we had the incorrect orders. Two of us ordered the Spaghetti Carabonara, and the pieces of meat included were thick cuts of fat instead of bacon. The fish tasted similar to most of the other restaurants in the area, and although the service was poor, the PIZZA is better than a good portion of the other pizzas found in the area.

I’d like to give the restaurant 2.5/3stars for the quality of other dishes, but given how unhealthy pure chunks of fat are + the rudeness of the waiter I’ll have to give 1 star (my...
