I arrived to Verona Airport and the Tui Reps were organised and supportive to make sure I got on the right coach. My Verona day trip the coach was delayed by traffic and Kevin Tui Rep was very supportive in ensuring I got to my Verona trip there alright plus explaining why my time got changed bit later then the earlier usual time as Verona was my highlight trip of my holiday. ||I was greeted politely by the owners of the hotel, the room was nice very pleased with the cleaners did a great job cleaning my room everyday and one time the toilet came loose so reported it straight away to the hotel manager and got fixed as soon as I arrived back from my outings. ||I would recommend aircon placed in the rooms as it was hot most nights where it was annoying to open the balcony door to let cool air in, got bitten bad by mosquitoes and would take a cold shower late at night to help myself go to sleep. ||Breakfast is from 8am till 10am it's continental so no cooked English breakfast, you pay what you get the waiter was nice always asked me if I would like a cup of tea and you get given variety of different cereals yogurts fruit rolls butter and jam. It was lovely to walk in to the hotel being greeted by the Italian owners in Italian as they only know little English but made the effort. I would really recommend the resturant opposite the hotel that does a really yummy ravoloi and spinach, there's a fruit shop next door a atm and little supermarket near by plus other resturants, pharmacy bus station close by short walking distance and there's a info centre round tge corner bit further up the road to book excursions such as Gardaland Theme park, Sealife centre, Movieland it's ok but small it's worth a good 2 or 3 hour time there before or after you go to Cavana water aqua park next door to enjoy the waterslides. I highly recommend booking your Verona and Venice Day tour trips when booking your hotel and flights with Tui to safe the hassle and to not waste time to go and explore...
Read moreHaving read all the reviews of this hotel we thought that due to the really cheap deal with TUI we would chance it. We were greeted warmly by Luigi and his mother on arrival to this 1940- 50s decorated hotel (not designed but actual). The room (39) was as described in previous reviews clean sheets, comfortable bed (maybe a little softer than we have), the doors out onto the balcony were difficult to open. The bathroom is a health and safety disaster waiting to happen. The toilet seat had chips out inside of rim (although appeared clean). The shower does not have an anti slip mat and after one person has showered you have to wait at least 5 minutes for the water to dissipate before next shower is taken. The sink has no plug or means to hold water. If you dropped anything into sink (tooth brush, rings etc,) it was gone forever. There was no hairdryer provided (we did go prepared). The management did not respond to complaints from others so we did not complain. From approx. 10.30 pm to 07.00am approx. there were no members of staff in the hotel to respond to emergencies (you were given a key for the garden door if the hotel was locked). This we learned from two ladies who came back late and could not get into their room due to trouble with lock. The breakfast was small selection of cereals, chopped melon and pineapple , blueberries, boiled egg (cold) and coffee, yogurts and hard rolls. There does not appear to be any ongoing maintenance or inclination to correct problems. Personally I would not stay here again and my advice is to give this a complete miss. The only plus is the location and we actually had a great holiday outside of the...
Read moreOriginally I was going to give this 5* review because this was a little gem in the centre of Garda itself but I think there’s just a few little areas which would elevate this hotel a bit more.||Rooms are spacious, clean and well-equipped. I may be wrong but I believe all rooms come with a balcony which gives some much needed outdoor space.||The breakfast served was varied, it was the same every day but there’s enough to keep even the most fussy of eater happy here and the staff are extremely friendly and happy to help. Little tip for people, grab a drink in the bar here. The bar bill we received was really good value and much cheaper than surrounding bars and restaurants.||The little bits where some improvement could be made were: we had the DND light on our room but got back to find the cleaners had been in anyway. It turns out there is a paper door hanger which needs to be put on the door instead so the lights on the outside serve no real purpose.||I know it’s central Garda but the parking for the hotel is a good half a mile away from the hotel so when you’re arriving and departing you have to do a quick drop and run outside the hotel on the street.||Finally, we couldn’t always use the outdoor terrace for breakfast as the water had pooled on it and couldn’t be swept away quick enough. A change to this would elevate the breakfast experience.||Overall though, a great find in a beautiful location with easy access to all parts of the town. Would highly recommend this to travellers heading...
