Mentelocale Bar Bistrot — Restaurant in Genoa

Passando per via Balbi in pieno centro storico a Genova vicino alle varie università sono entrato in questo bar caffetteria della nota catena di cucina tipica genovese di bars e caffetteria ben presente in città ed ho preso al banco un ottimo e squisito caffè con un bicchierino di acqua gasata. Il bar è piccolino con tanti tavolini interni nelle varie sale interne ed è frequentato sopratutto da giovani universitari ed è possibile fare colazione ed anche pranzare. Come sempre nei vari locali di Mentelocale il punto di forza è rappresentato da tutto il personale veramente adorabile accogliente sorridente competente gentile cordiale e disponibile. Mon hanno servizio al tavolo credo lo fanno solo a pranzo e quindi bisogna prima pagare e poi andare al banco e fare l’ordinazione. Tornerò un’altra volta per andare a pranzo. Infine i prezzi sono veramente buoni.

Passing through via Balbi in the historic center of Genoa near the various universities I entered this bar and cafe of the well-known chain of typical Genoese cuisine of bars and cafes well present in the city and I took an excellent and delicious coffee at the counter with a glass of sparkling water. The bar is small with many internal tables in the various internal rooms and is frequented mainly by young university students and it is possible to have breakfast and also lunch. As always in the various Mentelocale locations the strong point is represented by all the truly adorable, welcoming, smiling, competent, kind, friendly and helpful staff. As always they do not have table service maybe only at lunch and therefore you have to pay first and then go to the counter and place your order. I will return another time for lunch. I costi sono assolutamente sproporzionati rispetto alla qualità del cibo offerto, che risulta spesso anche meno gradevole di altri bar della zona a costo molto inferiore. Giustificherei i prezzi se il servizio fosse migliore e se la location (soprattutto nel cortiletto) fosse tenuta meglio (vorrei farvi notare che ci girano pure dei topi piuttosto imponenti, che forse sono il problema minore...). Li giustificherei anche se non avessi avuto pessime esperienze con i dipendenti qualche mese fa, che non solo mi hanno quasi chiusa dentro siccome stavano chiudendo prima del consueto orario (e non sono venuti a controllare nemmeno se ci fosse ancora qualche cliente) ma mi hanno pure fatto aspettare un'eternità per un toast BRUCIATO per poi pure dirmi "eh ma potevi dirmelo" (come se fosse il mio lavoro). E' una zona universitaria, cercate di mettere il wifi funzionante dappertutto. E' pure affiancato a Palazzo Reale, perciò dovrebbe migliorare secondo me, sia per i turisti sia per gli universitari e i vari lavoratori che lo frequentano...
