I went here yesterday for dinner. I understand why the high rating!!!

I understand the vibes/ decoration does feel confusing. It is a family-run restaurant by just a husband and wife, so don’t expect too much for decoration. But I can assure you the food quantity and quality are superb!!! Some several regulars/ locals were there(That explains something). The staff is super friendly and helpful. I ordered the octopus salad and seafood spaghetti. Both the potions are huge and super tasty. Octopus salads are well salted, a little bitter, lemon sour, and many more. It is a flavor-blasted journey. Seafood spaghetti have way toooo much seafood and the sauce is well-fitted with the spaghetti Special mention to the freshly made, homemade tiramisu. It is creamy, not too sweet, and well mixed with textures. It only sells a limited amount every day! Finally, I ordered 3 courses and 2 beers but the price still amazed me by how cheap it is!!! Having a hot meal in Genoa on a Sunday—what a blessing! We arrived in the city on a very windy day and found this restaurant near the port. At first, we thought it was closed, but it turned out that the sign was just small and easy to miss.

This place offers authentic Italian cuisine with fresh seafood ingredients. Sometimes, they even serve a special homemade chili sauce, which has a unique flavor and goes really well with pasta. The owner is very kind and provides some services that are not common in other restaurants, such as serving hot water.

We ordered basil pasta, lobster pasta, a mixed seafood fried and grilled platter, plus two bottles of peach soda. The total was around 70 euros. Before we left, they even gave us some candy and waived the service charge and coffee bill. Definitely worth...

During our short stay in Genoa, we visited Piazetta San Carlo Restaurant Family twice, and each time was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and always-smiling staff member lady, who made us feel right at home.

The food was delicious, the wine was excellent, and the overall atmosphere was cosy and inviting. We came in the evening and stayed until closing—sometimes even a few minutes past—and never felt rushed. As a lovely touch, we were even treated to small sweets after paying.
