Hidden gem!! Cooks are artists!!

We live in the area and have gone many times in the past few years. We have equally gone to other places in the neighbourhood as well as in other parts of the city and this restaurant stands out from the others for below reasons:

1. you get a bruschetta on the house to begin with

2. bread is not only abundant but nicely offered with some pieces toasted with olive oil and some others fresh

3. kitchen is partly open. You can see a bit how they work...but no noise or smell or stress coming out of it

4. the presentation of the plates is exquisite..you clearly see the effort and passion put on every single dish. Hard to see everywhere...this is clearly special here.

5. portions tend to be more abundant than the "normal" for city restaurants. Main dishes come always with some "contorno" that goes beyond the usual decorative lettuce or cherry tomate but includes some tasty potatoes or veggies.

6. same goes with for the glasses of wine...it is def not the standard 0.1cl at 6e that you get in other places

7. the setting, even if arguably not as pittoresque than other restaurants around, is very warm, cozy and nice to be...especially in the main first room.

8. menu is short and changes frequently...but there is always delicious pasta dishes and fish seconds. I would primary see this restaurant as for pasta and fish but they always have 1 meat second as well.

9. service is very correct and professional

10. sometimes it takes a bit long...but it is ok, something very good and well presented will come eventually. It is a safe bet! (But be mindful if you have to take a train or smth)

If i had to say something that could be improved is about the variety of desserts. I would miss at least 1 standard italian dessert in the menu...i am sure many clients would be happy to...

What was intended to be a quick lunch during a train layover turned out to be one of our most satisfying meals in Italy. We were lucky enough to have 2/2 dishes (a gorgeous Gaspacho of squid and beet sauteed onions on basil, and seafood linguini, all from the daily menu) and some sparkling white wine. Heavenly after a hot train ride. The lady at the restaurant was sweet and attentive, despite our minimal Italian skills she managed to even make sure that we don't miss the next train! Would definitely come back to Genoa just to...

Posto accogliente e intimo, si mangia bene e con molta tranquillità. È molto rilassante Siamo stati accolti da una ragazza molto gentile e cortese che ci ha accompagnato al tavolo e offerto delle bruschette di benvenuto (davvero ottime) Il locale è pulito ed ordinato ma la cosa più bella è che si vede la cucina e lo chef mentre cucina. La cucina è molto molto pulita e ordinata Insieme allo chef c'è anche una ragazza che aiuta nella preparazione dei piatti, entrambi sono molto professionali e precisi. Anche in cucina si percepisce un clima di tranquillità. Lo chef è molto bravo a cucinare il pesce infatti era tutto cotto alla perfezione e non gommoso. Tutto viene preparato al momento. Abbiamo ordinato dei ravioli con il ragù di pesce molto buoni erano molto delicati e dei tagliolini al nero di seppia con i frutti di mare. Questo piatto era davvero divino, c'era tanto pesce nel piatto il gusto era deciso e intenso il tutto era molto cremoso e abbondante. Come secondo abbiamo ordinato lo stoccafisso con patate olive taggiasche e pinoli molto buono e un tortino di spinaci gamberetti che in realtà era un antipasto ma lo abbiamo mangiato come secondo, era molto saporito ed equilibrato la salsa (di crostacei e zafferano) era molto molto buona. Come dolci abbiamo preso una sfera con cioccolato fondente con mousse di pistacchio e frutti rossi ottima Una cialda di nocciola con zabaione anche questa buona Il complesso è veramente...
