Ristorante Halloween — Restaurant in Genoa

We ate here a few days ago and it was really delicious and perfectly okay in terms of price. One day later we ordered something to-go so that we could sit on the beach with the pizza and watch the sunset. Yesterday evening we wanted to order something to-go again so I called and an older man answered the phone and just hung up after I asked if I could order something. I wasn't quite sure if he understood me correctly because he only spoke broken English and wanted to call again to explain but he didn't answer the phone. Today we tried again because we really wanted to eat pizza and wanted to give the restaurant another chance. He answered the phone and immediately hung up when he heard my voice. It's a shame that he doesn't seem to want any non-Italian customers and really shows it with his unfriendly manner. The food was still okay but I wouldn't recommend the restaurant...

Nice surprise!

The place was packed but we got a table almost right away. The owner is a bit rough but maybe the Ligurian attitude as we say here in Italy.

We got a nice table on the terrace, ordered some draught beer and checked the menu. Large choice, pizze as well and good prices.

The waitress told us that we would have to wait 40 minutes to get the food since it was so busy but we were surprise to get our starter in 20 minutes. Not that long after all :)

The brandacujun was excellent! I'm used to have it with too much mashed potatoes but this one was full of stoccafisso. Yummy!

Our meat course was delicious too, nicely presented and plenty! And the best roasted potatoes I've ever had in Liguria in 7 years I've been living here!!!

I have been visiting Nervi for 15 years as my wife has family there. It's not on the tourist trail and as such the pizzeria caters for the local population and all the better for that. Nice location on the passigata by the sea, sit and watch the World go by while you eat.

Our family love it, it's primarily a pizzeria which is what we tend to eat when we visit, plus the foccacia au formaggio (a local speciality and my favourite). The quality has always been good, can be difficult to get a table at the weekend (recommendation in itself). We return every year, we've taken friends and family (English and Italian) and they have all enjoyed it, a good pizza...
