I went there with my girlfriend 3 times over the course of our holidays. I was a bit hesitant at first, not speaking any Italian, thinking that we were going to have to communicate, through google translate, but it ended up being a really smooth and pleasant process. All of the waiters spoke English fluently. There was one older guy in the morning who did not speak English, but seemingly understood what we said, as everything we ordered was as it was suppose to be. The Pizzas were a solid 8 out of 10 Pizza Tonno and Salsiccia. On the second day, we had Misto Fritto Di Pesce (fried mixed fish platter, small prawn, large prawn anchovies oysters, squid calamares). It cost 40€ and came with 2 cocktails and 3 bread rolls. The plate was huge, as you can see in the picture. Enough for the 2 of us and it would have probably been enough for 3 people with lesser appetite. 9/10, taste wise. The cocktails 10/10. Anyone who likes cocktails knows how hard it is to find a place that makes them the way they should be. They usually skimp out on the alcohol or they just dont know how to make them. These ones on the contrary were top notch. We had Mojito and Sex on the beach, but they have a long list of other varieties. Lastly the Pasta we had. Linguine alla Carbonara 8/10 and Linguine alla Scoglio (Pasta with seafood) 10/10. The seafood was sooo fresh. Just amazzing. Delicious! I think with any seafood dish you can not go wrong with this place. And the waiters were very helpful....
Read moreTasty food, but disappointing response to an issue
The food and wine were good, but the way a clear mistake was handled was disappointing. A simple solution would have been easy – instead, I felt like I had to negotiate for it.
The wine and the food were fine, and one of the waitresses was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, what negatively impacted the evening was the way a mistake was handled.
I had ordered a salad whose main ingredient was a type of cheese – and that very ingredient was missing. I pointed this out to another waiter, who said he would check again, but then wrongly insisted that everything was correct and the salad was complete. I accepted that explanation because I had no menu at hand.
I was surprised when the bill came and I was charged the full price – for a dish that was incomplete, without its main ingredient. I politely pointed this out, and they gave me a one-euro reduction, which I still found unacceptable. Only after I raised the issue again while paying at the cashier did they give me a three-euro discount.
Everyone makes mistakes, and I’m always understanding of that – but they should be handled professionally and in a customer-friendly way not in a way that makes me feel like I have to argue for...
Read more55€ for a miserable experience. Two dishes, 2 glasses of wine, and a bottle of water. The 4,9, and 5 stars may depend on what you are having. Personally, I had a terrible experience. Cold as ice red wine from the fridge!!!(25€ a bottle). Instead of medium rare grilled veal steak, I got a plate with a plain piece from a boiled thin carpaccio-like meat finished in a pan for 23 euros. Half meter platters with meats and cheese passing under our noses for the same price. Plus, one portion of "sicilian" penne with pistachio pesto, swimming in a tasteless sea of cream😱 Maybe because we were foreigners? I totally agree with the other unsatisfied customers. In any case, better go to a fast food restaurant. Worst experience in Italy. What a shame! P.S. After the owner replied to me and also my partner: This business is absolutely unprofessional. The answers are not at all responding to our complaints. Red dry wine is NEVER served @ 2°C and a thin piece of boiled carpaccio is NEVER taken as a veal steak. SHAME...
