Agli Artisti — Restaurant in Grado

We went there as a party of five on a saturday evening. The restaurant seemed pretty fancy and also the prices were on a higher level. However we wanted to spend a nice evening so we where fine with it. When we got there only a few tables were taken, but once we sat down it soon got really crowded. They did not ask for drinks first but handed us the menu and we had to order all at once. We had appatizers and main courses. Salads and appatizers arrived quickly. Shortly afterwards one of the main courses was served, but for the others we had to wait another 25 minutes. After the long wait they brought 4 more "main courses" but one was only a small portion meant as an appetizer because the large one had been served as an appetizer before. So they completely mixed up the order. When we asked about it the server did not know what we were talking about and the lady who took the order was completely unfriendly and did not even listen to us. On top of that the fish we had ordered was really small and quite expensive. The mix up itself was not such a big deal but being ignored was. We paid our bill and left, got coffee and dessert some place else. The food was fine but the service was terrible, especially when it gets crowded. We'll never go...

Cibo buono, esperienza cattiva.

Abbiamo avuto un’esperienza negativa in questo ristorante per tre ragioni:

Il servizio è stato pessimo. Abbiamo ordinato birra e vino che abbiamo dovuto richiedere più volte e che sono stati portati alla FINE del pasto (tra l’altro aggiungendo un nuovo ordine che abbiamo dovuto dire di togliere facendo notare l’errore al momento del pagamento) I piatti sono arrivati a svariati minuti di distanza quindi ognuno ha mangiato da solo. Ad uno è arrivato il contorno e più di 10 minuti dopo il secondo. Ad un altro è arrivato il secondo e a fine pasto (di tutti) il contorno dopo averlo sollecitato più volte. Si sono giustificati con “abbiamo tanta gente”. Allora assumete personale in piena stagione se non siete in grado di servire bene i tavoli.

È arrivata una signora che vendeva braccialetti con una bimba sulla schiena. La signora stava vendendone uno ad una cliente seduta al ristorante, che quindi non ha detto “no grazie” ma era interessata. La padrona è arrivata e gentilmente le ha chiesto di andarsene. Ma la signora è rimasta visto che stava cercando di vendere alla cliente interessata e allora la padrona, toccandole il braccio senza il suo consenso, ha alzato la voce, dicendole “vattene, te ne devi andare o chiamo i carabinieri, sei una maleducata!”

Posso capire la frustrazione se ogni sera vengono persone a cercare di vendere cose ai tavoli e sono d’accordo che non sia il caso. Ma la padrona è passata dalla parte del torto. Non si alza la voce in quel modo e non si trattano così le persone, soprattutto quelle che sono costrette a vivere di questo. Se si preoccupava di far brutta figura con i clienti a causa della signora che cercava di dar da mangiare ai figli vendendo oggetti per strada, non si è resa conto che ha fatto una figura ben peggiore con la sua reazione sgarbata e inappropriata. Forse un po’ di vergogna bisognerebbe provarla.

Ultimo, i bagni non sono accessibili e chi non può premere un pedale non può nemmeno lavarsi le mani.

We went there for dinner. It was not our first time, we’ve been there just before the pandemic. The waiters were quick, kind, helpful and when we arrived they asked if we wanted an English or German speaking waiter. The food was excellent, we tried anchovies, lasagne, pasta, cuttlefish, chiken breasts, calamari, tiramisu and also, how the dishes looked was really artistic.
