Savial — Restaurant in Grado

One star because the food was good. -4 stars because the service was astoundingly awful.

Today is my husbands birthday, and he wanted lasagna for dinner and profiteroles for dessert. We found a restaurant for dinner and came here for dessert.

At first the waiter started mumbling something in Italian when he realized that we were only staying for dinner.

Our desserts and drinks were practically slammed down on the table and the waiter left immediately after. When we asked to pay, another waiter couldn’t even be bothered to stop to drop off the bill or ask if everything was okay, he just dropped it on the table as he was walking by.

We ended up waiting a long time to pay, so obviously it wasn’t a priority of theirs to get the table cleared.

In the end we left a 12% tip on a 16€ bill, after being charged 2.50/person cover.

TL:DR good food, bad service, poorly...

Super unfriendly and arrogant. Today 17 sept. 2025 at 14.45 hrs we ask the female staff if it would be possible to have only coffee and cake or dessert. She said in a very-very unfriendly way..."kitchen is closed". So i said "maybe only coffee"? Then she said "we serve only if u order food" ??? Unbelievable! So we walked on and said to her "Amazing! We will never return" Then she said a few bad words in italian as she thought i dont understand...and i better not repeat here what she said. So low!! So rude!! Simply bad. Why not say in normal tone ...sorry, we are only a restaurant which dont serve only coffee and cake....whatever,.... just be a little bit friendly and...

Il ristorante è situato all'interno di una piazzetta del bellissimo centro storico di Grado. Fidandomi ancora una volta di TripAdvisor sono andato a colpo sicuro con quello che tra i primi della lista mi sembrava il più adatto alle mie esigenze, e ancora una volta ho fatto bene a fidarmi. Ho preferito accomodarmi all'interno nonostante la bella giornata e la posizione del ristorante mi tentavano per pranzare all'aperto, ma di solito evito questa soluzione per non essere infastidito dal fumo di sigaretta. Comunque all'interno il ristorante è piuttosto carino, per cui anche prendere posto all'interno merita. Non appena seduto mi è stato versato un prosecco di benvenuto. Come primo piatto ho scelto gli spaghetti alle vongole. Decisamente buoni. Come secondo mi son lasciato tentare dalla grigliata mista di pescato del giorno, ottima. Delizioso lo strudel di mele col cioccolato caldo che ho scelto come dessert. Per finire, caffè ed un bicchierino di Pelinkovac, ormai un classico come digestivo in questo periodo di permanenza lavorativa in questa zona. Ad annaffiare il tutto mezzo litro di bianco della casa, più che onesto come gusto ma un po' caro per essere un vino sfuso (13 euro al litro), ed una bottiglia di acqua minerale. Porzioni discrete, non è uno di quei posti in cui tocca sfamarsi col pane. Spesa 45 euro. Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo. Personale gentile e professionale. Wi-fi disponibile...
