Fuoripiazza Ristorante Enoteca — Restaurant in Greve in Chianti

Easily our favorite restaurant during our 8-day Tuscan adventure. From great communication for a reservation (via e-mail), to the superb hospitality of everyone involved from the chef to the hostess, the quaint ambiance (we were on the ground/lower floor), outstanding wine menu, and of course--the food (!!!)... it was absolutely wonderful! So wonderful, we went back for our last meal in Tuscany because it was so darn good (and we never do that!). During both meals, my wife did the wine tasting flights which were inexpensive and the wines included were great, and I got to choose from their amazing wine menu for my selections. As for food--we have several dishes, but my wife loved the gorgonzola gnocchi, and I really loved the chianti wine risotto and the stuffed guinea fowl with truffles. We also tried their semifreddo for dessert and it was sublime. I simply cannot stop raving about, or more highly recommend, this restaurant. A local wine shop recommended this ristorante for its pasta but everything was fantastic. We ate there 2 of our 4 nights in Greve. Roberto was the main server and was accommodating, kind and knowledgeable about wine pairing. The food was elegant, comforting and simple, using top notch local and seasonal ingredients. Of course it had an awesome wine list showcasing Chianti Classico and Riserva. Nice digestifs and desserts. I know tiramisu is ubiquitous in Italia but theirs is truly is excellent. Try the peposo or the stuffed guinea fowl with potatoes. For pasta we had tagliatelle with porcini and a pappardelle...

I have experienced food from every corner of the world and I am very privileged to be able to say that.

Fuorpiazza is an exceptional dining experience, one I will carry for the rest of my life. This evening I experienced a meal (which only true foodies will appreciate) that literally took my breath away. Words do not justify the quality, the service and ambience of such a wonderful restaurant. Grazie Sylvia and team.
