Visit and feel the Tuscan delicacies, beauty, and hospitality all together in one place. Pasticceria Chianti as its name located right in the heart of Chianti, at Piazza Giacomo Matteotti or the main Piazza at Greve in Chianti. Located on the left side, if you are facing the Basilica at the end of this unique triangle shaped Piazza, you can enjoy best pastry and probably best cappucino or espresso in the are with splendid view of the Piazza. I usually visit this pasticceria on weekend morning to have a breakfast while enjoying the Saturday Market or some expo on Sunday. I recommend to try their Bombolone (for me the best), then cornetto Nutella, torta miele, schiacciata al uva, with a cup of creamy cappucino. Surely a great boost in the morning to start your great day. Pictures tell 100 words so enjoy some pictures during my chilling moment at...

Espresso is appreciably better, served faster, and more consistent than many other cafes in Greve. Pastries are excellent, varying, and range from inexpensive biscotti and croissant to luxurious like macaron, nut crocante, and fruit tarts (raspberry rose was a big hit). Also has a savory case.
Spandex cyclists, babies, ladies, teenagers, grannies, gentlemen, farmers - the constant train of varying visitors is a delight.
Tips: first greet formally. get small. Decide what you want in advance. Return used dishes to espresso counter. Tip jar! Order from across the room with a gesture and a...

The girl who served at the table outside was charming but when a correction was needed at the counter inside, the teller steamed with rage and gave my partner a hard time over something truly trivial. It was certain to lead to this review, so why on earth would she do it? One for the manager to ponder (unless that was her daughter?) So, gamble on facing that girl at paytime or look to the many other...
