Great place to sit and to watch the world go by. Best tapas on our Sardinia trip by far. Almost a meal in itself.

Another great local fruity and aromatic white wine. Staff were both very friendly and were very chatty. Small, cosy and friendly plus like every where that we visited in La Maddalena it was inexpensive.

Five minute walk from the ferry port. They also sell their own range of 👕 t-shirts and hooded tops with a pirate logo on them plus the seating outside has a pirate theme, hence a rare photograph of myself with the skull & cross-bones.

It was teaming with rain we were freezing cold and soaked from travelling on the ferry. The covered outside area was empty except for 2 customers with 2 dogs. We weren't allowed to park our bikes carrying our luggage on the edge under cover because they claimed the room was a loungeroom. So we thought the rain was a better option than spending our money there. Taverna Baro recieved us happily and helped us out of the weather to serve us food and drinks to warm up. What a lovely place! We were in Maddalena in low season (eind of May) so half of the restaurants were closed. Therefor we decided to just sit down here for a second to have a glass of wine. We ended up staying for over 2 hours, drank incredible red wine (we got to taste a couple of wines, great service) and got some snacks on the house too.
