Ristorante Pizzeria La Mirage — Restaurant in Imperia

I’m almost sorry to leave this review in English, apologies in advance for my lack of Italian!!

My husband and I had two meals here and my goodness, the service was just so lovely. Very warm, like we were having dinner at a friend’s place. A couple runs the restaurant and they are so funny and nice! Then the food - just good quality, beautiful pasta and pizza for an excellent price and the wine selection fabulous too!

The 2nd night we ate here, the restaurant had live music in the form of Sergio..one man, one keyboard and a whole lot of old school Italian songs. So much fun, we sang along all through our meal and stayed just to hear all his music. The owners and staff were dancing and having a great time too!! They even gave us a little limoncello so we could stay longer and they treated us like family.

Honestly the most gracious, lovely people we met in our entire time in Italy. We love you all the way from Australia!! Thank you for two...

We waited quite a long time to be served, which is normally not a problem, but when the pizza came it was absolutely revolting..... probably the worst pizza we have ever had..... the red sauce was tasteless, the dough was thick and strange tasting and the cheese wasn't even mozzarella but a strange oily cheddar cheese. The salad we had with almonds and cheese was also pretty bad with that strange cheese... basically the only bad meal we have had in this area and we have been here for 3 weeks..... definitely...

Das Restaurant liegt an der Straße, was schonmal für eine bedrückte Atmosphäre und einen mangelnden ersten Eindruck sorgt. Ich bin Vegetarier, deshalb gab es für mich keine große Auswahl, Naja egal, ich komme mit ein paar Gerichten zu recht. Ich habe mich im Endeffekt für die Ravioli mit Spinat-Ricotta Füllung entschieden, allerdings war ich empört als der Teller kam. Ich wollte mich nochmal vergewissern das sie es ernst meinen, denn es waren nur 10 kleine Ravioli auf meinem schon kleinen Teller, der aussah als wäre er für eine 10 jährige bestimmt. Ich habe jedoch schnell realisieren müssen, dass dies tatsächlich meine Ravioli waren. Nunja, ich dachte mir: "Egal, vielleicht schmeckt es ja", allerdings musste ich nach dem ersten biss feststellen, dass es den Ravioli an geschmack fehlte. Zu sagen, dass ich enttäuscht war, wäre eine untertreibung. Sie könnten nun hier sitzen und sagen: "Das ist ihre eigene Schuld, warum gehen sie in ein Fischrestaurante???", darauf würde ich antworten, dass sie recht hätten. Jedoch waren es meine Familienlitglieder, die mir sagten es gäbe gute vegetarische Optionen. Nun müssen sie selbst entscheiden, riskieren sie einen mittelmäßigen Besuch in einem Restaurant für einen vielleicht befriediegenden Fisch oder gehen Sie einfach lieber zu La Rustica, was eine wirklich fabelhafte und absolut wunderbare Pizzeria in der Nähe ist.
