This is a 5 star ⭐️ experience. The views, the staff, the food, all meet that higher standard of quality which set it apart from the other standards on the island. Far from being stuffy or oppressive, the staff are attentive yet, they allow an intimate atmosphere and have a nice conversation. We were served by Marco and Michael, they are both great people who are most genuine and friendly. For food we had natural yeast 24 hour fermentation homemade bread 🥖 that was outstanding. Also white wine made in the castle, which was really good. Then stuffed aubergine Parmesan, yummy. Crispy egg, traditional in Ischia. The 7 course chefs tasting menu was 100 euro each and is fantastic, a mix of fish, meat, and vegetarian courses. The citrus risotto with ink squid, Ischian meat platter and prawns served three ways were all fabulous, full of favours and made with a high level of craft and attention.
The restaurant location, on a private terrace overlooking Ischia Ponza, challenges the beauty on the plate. The sunset over the sea and town added to the magic.
Finally, with only a small amount of tables, the service is faultless. The presentation of the dishes and narrative to support each course in Italian and English added real value to the experience.
