Zi Nannina à mare — Restaurant in Ischia

Too expensive for the quality and the service given. For my girlfriend's birthday, I have booked a table for 4. Once arrived, the meter asked us to check via the QR code the menu without suggesting any anything about the menu. First we got spaghetti ai frutti di mare arrived and it was matching my expectations. Second, we got see bas with cream of eggplant. This came with a frozen cream and it was disgusting to digest. I have asked the meter to review the place and he came back with the same plate without the cream. Once back (10 mins after), he came back with the same plate without the cream and the see bas was already cold. Each plate was given without any context or without mentioning any caratheristic. Again, the bill was 300 euro for 4 but service and quality were not even comparable to Zio Gino (4 bruschette on the beach for a price of 25 euro. Quality and service amazing). WOW!.. We just had an amazing evening at this beautiful restaurant. The staff greeted us as friends, the atmosphere was lovely and the food and wine was truly outstanding!.. The staff were awesome.. from the gentleman that greeted, sat us and took our order, the gentleman that poured our wine, to the beautiful and friendly waitress.. everyone was AMAZING and made this a truly memorable evening.. it was my wife’s 50th birthday and this was a beautiful place to celebrate. We are staying at a wonderful Air bnb a few minutes walk away (Casette Titina - 100% worth the stay and a wonderful host!) and found this beautiful restaurant as we strolled along the beachfront earlier today. Ho prenotato cercando su google ma vedevo tante recensioni molto contrastanti sul prezzo, servizio e cibo ma abbiamo voluto provare lo stesso in due a fine giugno.

In sala erano occupati solo tre tavoli per il servizio serale, eppure l'isola di Ischia è strapiena di gente e questa cosa mi è parsa strana ma non ho voluto pensare a male.

Appena seduti il cameriere ci porta dell acqua e ci suggerisce un esperienza gastronomica gourmet ma decliniamo l'offerta e optiamo per due secondi.

Ci viene portato un benvenuto dello chef che consiste in un piccolo cannolo con dentro tartare di triglia molto buono, del pane con lievito madre, dei grissini e un riccio di burro. Tutto non richiesto ma gradito

Poi ci viene portato un assaggio di prosecco ad entrambi, sempre non ordinato ma gradito.

All'arrivo dei piatti sono rimasto molto male, un assaggio di rana pescatrice e un tocco di maialino, ad occhio e croce 40 gr a piatto con una media di 25€

Assaggiamo il piatto, buono ma nulla di speciale, ho mangiato di meglio altrove, lo mangiamo più lentamente possibile, ma è veramente pochissimo che non sazierebbe nemmeno un bambino e finisce in dieci minuti scarsi

I piatti però vengono presentati molto bene dal cameriere, spiegando preparazione e composizione

Prendiamo anche due calici di ottimo vino bianco consigliato stesso dal ristorante

Evitiamo i dolci (prezzi altissimi quando ovunque se ne trovano di pari a costi tre volte inferiori) ma ci viene portato ugualmente un piattino con due piccole meringhe, due assaggi di gelatina e due dolcini, come dimensioni direi un terzo di un normale mignon, ma è pur sempre offerto.

Costi totale 86€ per aver "assaggiato" un secondo. Ovviamente ci siamo alzati ancora affamati e abbiamo dovuto comprare una pizza per saziarci (costata 5 euro a testa)

In particolare mi hanno fatto storcere il naso i 5€ a testa di coperto, ok le cose omaggio ma sono omaggio, non puoi farmele pagare nel coperto E le bottiglie di acqua liscia normalissima che costano 50cent ovunque, pagate 5€ ogni 0.75lt

Ovviamente pure i piatti hanno un costo sproporzionato.

Un consiglio, meno ghirigori come omaggi e cose scenografiche e più sostanza, mi sono saziato con 10€ e non con 8 volte tanto, sicuramente sarà una cucina per palati più raffinati del mio, ma mi è sembrata proprio una presa in giro, di certo non torneremo.
