Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant left a very unpleasant impression. I specifically flew from Finland to Sardinia to try the fish, and this was my first visit ever, which will likely be my last. I was served grilled fish that was so poorly prepared it was completely inedible, despite my love for fish. The dish was tasteless and unappetizing. Additionally, the bread was not fresh and was quite hard.

I informed the waiter about this, but he merely laughed and walked away. Even though I barely touched the dish and spit out all the pieces I tried, I was still asked to pay the full price.

If you plan to dine here, be aware that the restaurant does not care whether you like the dish or not – they will charge you regardless. When they ask if you enjoyed your meal, it is purely superficial – they genuinely do not care. The attitude towards customers is very poor. Veniamo a Stintino da 40 anni e il sarago è sempre stato un posto a noi caro. Ma dopo l’esperienza di ieri non sarà più possibile tornarci. Pessimo. comanda prese dopo 50 minuti di attesa impossibile ordinare pizza perché prevista un ora di attesa (alle 20.45!) richiesta pasta per bimba di un anno il prima possibile, nessun cameriere ci accontenta perché solo il gestore può prendere le comande (dopo 50 min che siamo seduti) finalmente arriva il cibo: grigliata mista fredda, con gamberi e spada crudi. Calamaro della mia vicina freddo e duro. Secondo di amico di fronte a me arrivato prima del suo primo. Patate fritte non pervenute. dopo sollecito del primo mancante e delle patatine si presenta il gestore e qui succede la cosa peggiore. Veniamo aggrediti e accusati di aver sbagliato noi l’ordinazione!!! Con una arroganza e maleducazione inaudita sosteneva che il primo del mio amico lo avesse preso un altro commensale del nostro tavolo. Mi deve allora spiegare come mai ci fosse già il suo secondo…doveva per caso mangiarli insieme?!?! Faccio anche notare che grigliata e calamaro erano freddi. Mi dice che dovevo avvisare (ma chi che non c’era un cameriere in zona manco a pagarli) e che testuali parole “me l’avrebbe ripassata alla griglia”. Ottimo, così il calamaro si trasformava in marmo…nuovo piatto, il calaMARMO! altri 20 min dopo aver finito di mangiare per aspettare che ci sparecchino. Non ci chiedono neanche se vogliamo dolce o caffè. Figuriamoci la cortesia di un piccolo sconto o un amaro amaro per i problemi creati…ma d’altronde era colpa nostra giusto?! andiamo allora in cassa. Attesa pure li, con coda: chiediamo ad un cameriere se arriva qualcuno…altra bella risposta maleducata:” se serviamo ai tavoli mica possiamo anche stare in cassa!”. E certo…è chiedere troppo avere un minimo di organizzazione.

We went to this restaurant twice during our stay in Stintino, on our first and last day, and both visits were wonderful. It feels like a family-run place where they know many customers personally, welcoming everyone with a glass of prosecco and genuine kindness. The food is excellent – the pizza was huge (I couldn’t finish half, and they kindly packed it to take to the hotel).
