100% tourist trap. Avoid at all costs. They will serve you mediocre, cold pizza and upcharge you at every possible turn - €3.50 for a bottle of sparkling water, €7 for a scant pour of so-called Barbaresco (it might not even have been what we ordered bc our server hid the wine label from us as she poured).

The server also forcefully insisted on taking our order when we were only halfway through the menu - which in retrospect was probably intentional, so we wouldn't see all the surcharges printed on the back. She also continued to press us to order dessert and coffee even after we clearly said "no grazie, è basta" several times.

The owner saw that we were Americans and attempted to justify their additional €2 "coverage" charge bc "here in Italy we don’t tip," which was nonsense. We had already been staying in Alba for 4 days and not a single one of the multiple restaurants we dined in added such a charge. She's a grifter.

It was both the worst meal we've experienced in Italy and outrageously expensive for the amount and quality of food....

ENGLISH: UNFRIENDLY & IMPOLITE WAITRESS/WOMAN WHO TAKES YOUR ORDER & NO VENTILATION SYSTEM INSIDE. if you are a tourist, there are other pizzerias in the area that are much worthy in order to have a better & real Italian experience, most of all under the service point of view. this is my recommendation by experience and you can find the same comments/feeling also from the people who gave 1* to this place. if you want to share with that woman any negative comments, be careful of the words you use and don't try to speak in Italian because she wants you to use a proper Italian language. the other personell is very nice. Italiano: un bel 5 per la MOLESTIA OLFATTIVA e per la MALEDUCAZIONE della Signora seduta alla cattedra, che "educa" i clienti stranieri a miglior espressioni e CACCIA VIA I CLIENTI perché ha troppo orgoglio per sentirsi dire che non ha un sistema di ventilazione adeguato nel locale che PUZZA di aglio, cipolla e che i vestiti in 5 minuti si sono impuzzati. la parola "puzza" potrebbe essere anche offensiva ma bisogna saper gestire queste situazioni se si conosce bene questo mestiere. altrimenti consiglierei di cambiare lavoro. avessimo detto "maleodorante" o "odore sgradevole", non penso che la reazione sarebbe stata tanto diversa perché è un dato di fatto in qualsiasi modo esso venga espresso. e c'è da dire che è stata usata la parola "puzza" da uno straniero il cui vocabolario italiano non è in alcun modo eguale a quello di un italiano. vantarsi di avere x gamberi rossi è PESSIMO di fronte ad un SERVIZIO CLIENTI che VALE 0. Signora cara, i gamberi rossi (se mai li ha avuti) li ha ottenuti grazie al personale, sicuramente non grazie a lei! consiglio ai clienti: se volete assaggiare la loro pizza, munitevi di pazienza e ordinate senza esprimere commenti perché vi potrebbero cacciare via dal locale. indossate anche dei vestiti adeguati da lavare subito dopo. se invece cercate del personale socievole, ironico e dove si mangia una buona pizza, ci sono posti in zona che meritano molto di più. credetemi, cercavo un posto sofisticato per festeggiare un compleanno; non c'era proprio l'intenzione di discutere con nessuno e tantomeno di vedere tanta maleducazione, che nella maleducazione non c'è proprio nulla di sofisticato. apprezzo invece molto la reazione del personale e dei cuochi che erano dispiaciuti e molto...

This is definitely a tourist trap that we fell into unfortunately. The food is honestly horrible and kind of gross, like a frozen dinner. We had the gnocchi and it somehow was tasteless but also too salty at the same time, I don't even understand how that's possible to accomplish. Service was horrible, it seemed like the two waitresses had no idea what to do and were completely overwhelmed with the owner just constantly yelling at them. My pizza came to the table wet, like it was dripping because of how bad the tomato sauce was, it was basically just like a raw tomato mash on the pizza.
