MiVà Sant'Agostino — Restaurant in La Spezia

We arrived just after they opened for the evening meal after spending the day travelling. Our experience started out amazing. Tina was our server and we said we just wanted to take our time and relax and enjoy being in La Spezia. She was amazing and told us about her and the area. We got a bottle of wine and an app to start and then ordered a second app and bottle of wine. Then the manager came over and asked if we needed anything and I said no thank you, we would wait for Tina. Within 5 mins another server came over and told us Tina had left for personal reasons and she would be taking over and what did we want for our main course. We ordered but suddenly were feeling very rushed and unwelcome. You could tell the manager was rushing people through but there were empty tables and no line because I was watching. The food was good but I will never go back because of how rushed they made me feel...

Menus got dropped on the table. No welcome or introduction. No welcome would you like some water to start.

Food options look mediocre on the menu, I told my parents wouldn't want to eat here but the table setting looked OK and they were happy to try. Pulling the chairs on the terrace, one still had bird droppings and most were torn.

Food was less than mediocre at best. One of the most boring and uninspired meals during our holiday. Tuna salad just some green leaves and canned tuna flakes with mozzarella, pork meat filet was boring, dry and tough to chew and risotto with no flavour, mussels in tomato soup were OK.

Drinks order for 4 drinks, 2 drinks were served wrong. No extra glasses provided...

On a busy Sunday evening we felt ourselves lucky in finding a table for 4 outside on the pavement with enough room for our two, thirsty dogs. The waiter was friendly enough and, after providing water for our canine companions, was soon taking our order for drinks. I had a large glass of draft, chilled Moretti beer. Very refreshing.

Our party of four shared bruschetta & caprese as a starter & then we ordered four different main courses. I went for the seafood spaghetti which was great. The other had pesto linguine, ravioli al ragu and caesar salad. All good!
