Piccolo Faro — Restaurant in La Spezia

Having parked the car nearby and before walking into town we decided to stop off here for aperitivo. The place was very busy, a mixture of families, workers just clocking off and the odd tourist like ourselves. We perched on high stools just outside the main part of the establishment and eventually caught the eye of one of the young waiters, all of whom seemed to be rushed off the feet.

The four of us ordered a range of aperitivos and then paid for them at a counter in a sort of kiosk....

Super slow service, and the waiters keep forgetting items on my order. I asked for olive oil on my caprese salad but they didn't have any. So I had to eat my poor tomato without seasoning. Finally, the most REVOLTING: I found out at the end of the lunch that the price for my salad was not the one written on the menu and was more expensive on the bill, without any warning from the staff.

Place to avoid with staff highly unprofessional, and food...

The coffee and croissant was very good, for that gives the star.

They had only 3 employees for far too many tables, we had to wait accordingly long. Well, there was only food because we got this ourselves at the front counter.

A young waiter ignored us knowingly and rather cleared tables around us; after we have already asked politely several times. Maybe they do not like tourists?
