Avoid! Overpriced and crowded, much better off getting the public ferry, which overtook us in the bay and had more seats on top deck. First stop at Portovenere was nice, second stop at Monterossa was terrible, we had to wait ages to dock which meant bobbing around until lots of people felt sick and then you arrive too late to get a spot on the beach and it's way too hot to walk around. The last stop is Vernazza, we got 50 minutes which was cut to 40 mins as it took 10 minutes to get off the boat. By the time you reach there it's also too crowded and there's just not enough time to get a feel of it, all we could do was sit at an expensive bar and you just feel like cattle being herded to the next overpriced tourist spot. Far better to make your own way on the public ferry or train. We were hot and tired journey back but had no seats and had to stand all the way back, people had their dogs and bags on seats and staff did nothing!! I’m amazed people don’t faint or throw up, at the very lease they should ensure people can sit down after a hot day and on a rocking boat. £150 for 2 adults and a child, honestly get the ferry out to the last town and the train back and save...
Read moreGreat tour of the Cinque Terre with well organised pickup and drop off at the scheduled location and at the scheduled times. Sufficient time was allocated in each port and we never felt rushed or harried. Tour guides were at meeting points early to ensure all passengers disembarked and embarked safely and quickly as the docks are very busy with many tour boats arriving and departing. A guide on the boat gave excellent commentary (trilingual: Italian/English/French) of the various points of interest as we travelled along the coast. Only negative would be they need to adjust the volume of the guide as it was deafening on the top deck, so much so I put ear plugs in so it was tolerable and many passengers grimaced when the speaker boomed into life. Good job overall and well managed. Wet bar...
Read moreI had a wonderful experience with Cinque Terre Ferries! When we were planning our trip to Portovenere and Cinque Terre, my friends and I wanted to appreciate the beauty of the villages both from their inside and outside. Because we were in the area only for a few days, we decided to join one of these boat tours. It ultimately turned out to be exactly what we were looking for, being a perfect mix between a sightseeing tour from the water and an inner visit of some of these marvelous...
