Toa degli Aranci — Restaurant in La Spezia

Had two times dinner in this lovely cozy place. The first time I got there at 21:30 and in most of the other places the kitchen was already closed. I ordered a rabbit and enjoyed it a lot. I didn't take a photo of it, though. The photos are from the second visit (I immediately booked for the next day, once i tried the food). I am also gluten-free, and not only the staff provided gluten-free bread, but they also nicely prepared it (you can see it in the photo). Not many places go as far. Hosting ladies were super sweet. I had a lovely time and enjoyed my dinner so much both evenings....

We got to the restaurant at 8 pm and the owner told us that they are closing at 9:30 and that we needed to leave no later, which was fine. The food was mediocre and the waitress didn't speak any English so it was hard to communicate. They have a cover charge 1.50 Euros so be aware. The thing that got us most upset was at 9:30 they asked us to pay and leave but they were still accepting new customers. We still had wine left and on google maps closing time is posted as 12am. 06.01.2024. Siamo ritornati alla Toa degli Aranci. Ambiente sempre ospitale e gentile. Ottimo vino. Io prediligo Sp68 e Baravantan. Buone le bruschette ed i pici con la burrata e pomodorini. Buonissimo il Brasato e i controfiletti. Cheescake sempre gradita. E come non finire con ottimo bicchiere di Ratafia. Ho letto alcune recensioni negative di turisti che purtroppo secondo me non conoscono la cucina italiana ed hanno poca cultura dei nostri vini. Dispiace ma consiglierei loro di educare il palato e la Toa è una bella scuola. Come al solito sempre soddisfatto della cena e di tutto il contorno. Potrei dire molto di più ma credo sia sufficiente per le solite 5 Stelle.

Un locale dove il cliente è un Ospite. Servizio cordiale e professionale. Cucina ottima. Un locale dove andare assolutamente sia per spezzini che per turisti. Chicca eccezionale e Sara in cucina il massimo. Non mancate, sarebbe uno spreco. 27.08.2022 siamo ritornati per il Compleanno di mia figlia. Splendida accoglienza, menù ottimo e finale con torta preparata magnificamente da Sara il tutto con una Chicca strabiliante che ha consentito di far diventare il compleanno un evento unico, indimenticabile e assolutamente non programmato.
