For visitors look elsewhere. Thera are many better restaurants in ischia. I have never felt the need to leave a poor review before of restaurants or accommodations. However , my experience tonight really didn’t reflect the rating given on google scoring . In my experience this is unusual and I feel their score takes away from the other restaurants nearby . This was our worst restaurant experience in all of ischia and in fact of all travels over many years in Italy . The recent positive reviews on google do not reflect our experience. The staff were not engaged apart from one young boy waiter who was excellent (didn’t get his name). It was difficult to get staff attention throughout the evening. They had no interest in customer experience or satisfaction. We were served food without any pleasantries or smile . No checking if everything was in order or if anything else was required. 2 starters and fish of day for two + cheap bottle wine €190. Fish served with small bowl of overcooked vegetables and plate of iceberg lettuce.

The guy in suit was working very hard and served fish well . My tip for him , work somewhere else you are not appreciated.

Out of two weeks traveling through Italy, this restaurant in Ischia was easily our favorite dining experience. We loved it so much, we went back — even though we only had a few days on the island.

The setting is truly special, right in front of one of Ischia’s most important landmarks, with stunning views of the water. The atmosphere is both elegant and welcoming, perfect for a relaxing meal.

The food was outstanding — beautifully presented like something from a fine dining restaurant, but with the heart, flavor, and portions of a real Italian kitchen. Every dish was a joy to eat.

What really made it unforgettable, though, was the people. Gianluigi, the owner, is a true gentleman, and the whole team made us feel completely at home. Everyone was so kind, warm, and genuinely accommodating, even with our vegetarian requests.

Ete at Carerina a Mare with the family. Food was absolutely delicious. Sometimes creativity gets in the way of good tasting. But they know how to do it! They have a limited menu woth local ingredients and recepies. We tried many of their dishes and all of them exceeded our expectations.
