Absolutely wonderful food and staff!! My husband and I were blown away with the innovative flavors and preparations, as well as the quality of the ingredients. The servers had a full knowledge and understanding of the menu and the wines. The timing of the delivery of the dishes was perfect for us.
Now for the details. To start, qe ordered the degustazione di antipasti dell'osteria. We were told the selection is changed nightly. This included beet cured salmon, tuna & watermelon tartar with coconut cream, fried octopus balls with mustard, fried squash blossoms with a vegetable sauce and caciocavallo, and lightly breaded mussels with a lemon mayonnaise. Each was perfectly prepared and so fresh. I was especially impressed with the tuna/watermelon/coconut combination and the mussels.
We followed this with fettuccine "del Duca". "Lemon" sauced pasta with raw pink and purple shrimp, and zucchini chips. Also incredible!
The second course was the veal braised in negroamaro wine. Sooo tender! And no bitterness that sometimes comes from over-cooking wine. The richness of the veal contrasted nicely with the accompanying green beans.
Finally, we enjoyed a coconut-blueberry magnum ice cream bar.
