Pizzeria 2001 — Restaurant in Lecco

Late night snack at Pizza 2001? Yes please! We arrived late on a Wednesday night around 10pm after a long ride, but the staff was just super friendly and inviting.

We had a chat to the Pizza Baker Carlo, who happened to speak German as well. He created an individual pizza for me as I just couldn't decide which one to take. My partner and I enjoyed every bite of it. On top we got very good suggestions where to spend our holidays in the area, which made the red vine we had along the food taste even better.

An unexpected closure at our usual pizzeria led to a detour here. Grateful for the heat of the wood fire, and the gracious welcome to our excited two year old, but above all for the very surprisingly excellent pizza, with a quality of dough and vegetables far above the Lecco standard.

Location da mettere tutta in ordine poco pulita. Ragazza al tavolo che ci ha serviti, molto cortese . Pizze impasto crude: abbiamo ordinato prima una pizza con cornicione e quella con le 4 punte poi quella fritta perché le prime due "apparentemente cotte ma molto crude e poco lievitare". La padrona annuiva che non era vero , il marito pizzaiolo ha detto che il forno troppo caldo e che poteva succedere: ci ha dato ragione. Siamo andati in cassa e abbiamo pagato. Al momento del pagamento la signora ci ha fatto pagare le prime due pizze e quella fritta( ci ha offerto l'amaro per l'accaduto) dicendo che avevano valutato bene il tutto ed era tutto ok per loro ( erano cotte dentro al punto giusto). Dopo aver pagato abbiamo fatto notare che ci aveva fatto pagare tutto anche se le prime due le abbiamo rimandate indietro, dicendoci prima ,che avevamo ragione ma poi avevano valutato bene e non era come ci era stato detto all'inizio. Siamo usciti molto insoddisfatti per tutto ,ma soprattutto per come ci hanno trattati. Se avessero voluto tenere ance noi come clienti, avrebbero dovuto (non dico di non farcele pagare tutte) ma per lo meno metà per ciascuno.... cambierà qualcosa? Lo auguro per loro e per chi ci andrà per la prima volta. Consiglio? Dite prima...
