A Little Taste of India in Bella Lecco!

Who would have thought we'd find authentic Indian food in a small town like Lecco? But here we were at Punjab, and mamma mia, it was a fantastic surprise! 😍 The owner personally came over to chat when he saw we were Indian - such a warm and welcoming touch!;The food was custom-made to match our spice tolerance (no bland "tourist-friendly" stuff here!). We had Malay Kofta, soft and fluffy Naan (not the gommoso, rubbery kind!), and masala chai, which, to our surprise, was delizioso! And ofcourse, we washed it all down with Kingfisher beer - because what Indian would choose anything else? 🍻 The location is perfetta, the service was great, and the prices were super onesti. We only tried the vegetarian dishes, but if they were this good, I'm sure the non-veg options are spettacolare too! If you're in Lecco and craving some real Indian flavours, Punjab is a must-try!...

Veramente immangiabile!! Io tutte queste recensioni positive non le ho proprio capite perché non ho mai mangiato così male in vita mia, non abbiamo nemmeno preso il dolce pur essendo compreso nel menu... siamo letteralmente scappati.! Questo ristorante è un disastro su tutta la linea: location pacchiana e malcurata, di indiano aveva soltanto l'odore e qualche cianfrusaglia qua e là per il locale. Arriviamo alla qualità del cibo: 1 antipasto e due menù (maiale e pesce) nessuno dei quali è stato preparato al momento, posso assicurarvelo. Pietanze stracotte e riscaldate: il maiale era duro e secco in entrambe le portate, idem i gamberi. Una fatica a masticarli e deglutirli, le spezie sono state messe a caso a: un mix di sapori senza senso. Okei l'etnico e la diversità rispetto alla cucina italiana ma pagare per avere cose stracotte, dei giorni precedenti e maleodoranti anche no.. Il riso basmati per niente profumato e cotto male, i piselli erano cosi vecchi che da verdi ormai erano pallidi e deformi e il pane una volta diventato tiepido si è indurito diventando immangiabile, mi pento di non aver fatto delle foto. Il tutto è stato reso insopportabile dall'atteggiamento del personale: il cameriere ci ha servito le portate senza spiegare nulla riguardo alle salse, la composizione del piatto, l'abbinamento con le bevande indiane, eccetera e ha bellamente fatto finta di nulla quando ci siamo lamentati di piatti fatti palesemente male. Il cuoco girava per la sala e gestiva la cassa pur non parlando l'taliano senza quindi poter rispondere alle perplessità presentategli sui piatti; vestito come un giardiniere senza divisa, guanti e grembiule.. Io sono rimasta scioccata! Diversi anni fa mi sono recata nel medesimo locale e avevo trovato gentilezza, professionalità e molta precisione e cura sia nella presentazione dei piatti che nella loro spiegazione. Forse avrà cambiato gestione, chissà.. Sta di fatto che non si è mangiato nulla se non due pezzi di pane con le salse di entreè, ma abbiamo pagato interamente il servizio nonostante la mancanza dei dolci senza nemmeno avere un confronto sul pessimo pranzo presentatoci. I wanted to eat pizza, but my boyfriend said "let's s go to this indian restaurant!". I agreed and we had the lunch menue, the fish and the lamb. Both meals didn't taste like anything a healthy human being would like to eat. I wouldn't even dare to give this to my cat. It was a horrible experience and had nothing to do with indian food.
