Very disappointing. We stopped for lunch yesterday & after sitting down, we were told there may be a slight wait for the food as they were quite busy. After waiting for 1 hour for the food to arrive, I was brought the incorrect dish. The waitress was apologetic & assured me that they would bring the correct order as priority, in the meantime my partner had to eat his meal alone whilst I waited a further 45 minutes for my food! A total wait time of 1 hour 45 for a tuna dish that only needed searing! Even though the waitresses apologised, they made no offer of compensation or even at the very least, a complimentary drink. After checking the bill, I was then disgusted to find that not only had they charged €5 service, but also overcharged us for the desserts, which were marked as a different price on the menu. We only went to Livorno for the day & wasted over 2 hours waiting on food which was meant to be a relatively quick lunch, so had no time to waste by making a complaint. Very rustic and Italian-ish, the waitress didn’t speak to much English but she tried her best to help us with recommendations for food and also what to visit around. Basti pensare che nel bagno (sicuramente un po' âgé) delle signore, ci sono a disposizione delle clienti gli assorbenti. Piccole attenzioni certo, ma che fanno la differenza. Abbiamo preso impepata di cozze, caciucco abbondante senza lische (perché sono una piagnina, lo so. Non sono quindi in grado di confrontarlo la ricetta originale, ma era sicuramente in linea con i miei gusti, pomodoroso, sapido, forse un po' troppo piccante, ma saporito e soprattutto facile da mangiare), fritto solo di paranza (su richiesta, sono stati così gentili da accontentarci), buono e costituito da pesci e porzioni di pesci anche piuttosto grossi, quindi difficili da friggere correttamente. Eppure erano perfettamente cotti, teneri, frittura asciutta ma non stopposa. Insomma, c' è della tecnica. Un rum Kraken, vino in bottiglia e acqua 85 euro, assolutamente in linea con i prezzi medi.
