We visited Ristorante Pizzeria Cafe del Mar today and had an absolutely lovely experience. We ordered delicious pizzas and fresh bruschetta (yes, I double-checked the spelling!), and enjoyed a refreshing non-alcoholic mojito – which is not easy to find in many places, so that was a big plus for us. The pizza was crispy, with a thin and delicate crust, topped with fresh ingredients in just the right amount.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff really made a difference. They greeted us with friendly smiles and made us feel like guests rather than just customers. It was easy and pleasant to have a little chat, which added to the overall charm of the place.
If you’re looking for a spot to enjoy quality food and get a taste of local cuisine, this is a place you shouldn’t miss. Also, they were more than happy to pack up our leftovers for takeaway – another thoughtful touch. We truly appreciated the hospitality, the kindness, and of course, the amazing flavors.
Thank you to the hosts for a warm, tasty, and joyful...
Read moreThis was arguably the worst spaghetti we have eaten in Sardinia thus far. Yes, they are cheap and your expectations should not be the highest, but this tasted like food from a bad school cafeteria, so even the low price is not worth it. Just one night ago, we had perfect spaghetti for 3€ cheaper (7€ per portion compared to this 10€ per portion) in Porto Torres, so there are definitely ways to make good food for affordable prices. I would not recommend this restaurant, at least not for their spaghetti served with really old and dry bread, maybe other food is okay. However, I still give them two stars because the staff was friendly and the way they served food was pretty nice.
In response to the owner: Porto Torres was just one example, a night after we dined at your restaurant we went to a nearby one, where the prices were also comparable but the spaghetti were much more delicious and the portions were way bigger. We regret not going there the first night, but thank you for...
Read moreThis is definitely the best restaurant in the area right now. Besides having a wonderful and wide selection of seafood dishes, sardinian delicacies, and pizzas, the quality of the ingredients and the talent of the chef are unparalleled. Other old favorites like cuccumiao have been sliding in quality, using cheaper and cheaper ingredients and inexperienced staff to increase profits, with mediocre results. With a family feel and great attention to quality and detail (not to mention amazing prices!) Cafe del Mar is THE place to go in ny opinion for both lunch and dinner near Palau. The service, which is becoming more and more unbearable elsewhere as staff with zero training and experience literally yells at you or ruins your meal, here is just amazingly wondeful. The Cafe del Mar staff is kind, caring, and super fast and efficient! We have eaten here at least 20 times and everyone has been a flawless experience that also many of the...
