The ONE | coffee, food & cocktail bar — Restaurant in Lu Palau/Palau

Piano bar in the centre of Palau on the harbour side. Sadly no one was playing the piano when we visited.

Caters more for the older crowd and by that I mean if you want a quieter location to enjoy your wine, cocktail or lager beer then this is it. Service is excellent with the staff being very attentive with crisps or nuts and olives as a side to accompany your drinks. Covered outdoor seating and plenty inside, no loud music but still a very pleasant relaxing atmosphere.

A great selection of wines are available and the prices are on a par with neighbouring bars and...

The "One" place to avoid, unless you want to be treated like something that the cat brought in. When in a party of 5, two people are served 10 minutes after the others (waiting for an orange squeeze, not for something "exotic"...) and you complain, you will be told that you are rude and disrespectful. The cherry on the cake is the joke of the two pieces of bread with salami and olives to come with their so called aperitivo... Utterly ridiculous. All of it for 28 euros and a ruined...

Meine Erfahrungen in diesem Lokal waren leider nicht besonders positiv. Zunächst einmal fiel mir auf, dass die Kellnerin, die uns bediente, keinen freundlichen Eindruck machte und während des gesamten Besuchs kein einziges Mal lächelte. Sie wirkte sehr unmotiviert.

Als ich bestellte, war ich enttäuscht festzustellen, dass das Gericht, das ich bestellen wollte, nicht mehr verfügbar war. Die ohnehin schon begrenzte Auswahl an Gerichten war also noch kleiner. Ich entschied mich schliesslich, wie meine Kollegen, für einen Caesar Salad. Doch dann kam der Koch zu unserem Tisch und teilte uns mit, dass sie nur noch ein Poulet für diesen Salat hätten. Dies zwang zwei meiner Kollegen, erneut nach anderen Optionen zu suchen.

Zu allem Überfluss wurde uns nicht einmal anständiges Brot serviert, sondern nur getoastete Toastscheiben, die wahrscheinlich übriggeblieben waren. Es schien, als ob sie nicht mehr viele Zutaten auf Lager hatten.

Das enttäuschendste war jedoch, dass während des gesamten Besuchs keine Entschuldigungen seitens des Personals kamen. Es schien, als ob sie sich nicht besonders um die Kundenzufriedenheit bemühten und einfach akzeptierten, dass sie nicht mehr viel auf Lager hatten.

Insgesamt war meine Erfahrung in diesem Restaurant enttäuschend, und ich hoffe, dass sie in Zukunft ihre Servicequalität und ihre Verfügbarkeit von Speisen...
