Update after the owner's response, for the sake of clarity: We had tagliere and drinks and spent a total of 81,5 for two. It was our first evening in Santa Teresa and we had a great time. Still, I believe the place is overrated and not worth it. We would not go there again and would not recommend it to a friend. The wine bar offers some good products you can also buy for home. Alas, the poor service and high prices are simply not worth a visit. The service is focused on nothing else than maximizing your spend. Recommending only the biggest and most expensive boards. Repeating that everything is homemade and you can also buy it for home. Multiple times. Over and over again. And then once more. In the most annoying and obtrusive manner we've seen during our 7-day stay in Sardegna. The prices are on the higher end. A glass of wine starts from 6 EUR. The "max terra" board is 30 EUR, but don't be fooled by the name - you also pay for extras like jam, honey or more bread (coperto is separate and 3pp). I am sure the owner has good reasons for these prices, but from a customer perspective they are simply not worth it. On the next day we visited another wine bar that was more centrally located and offered a better variety of reasonably-priced wines. More importantly, our waiter was more focused on making recommendations according to our taste than on pushing us to order more and buy for home. I believe Shardana has good potential as a wine bar, but they should focus on delivering value instead of treating customers like walking wallets. Also, invest in the personnel, so that they can at least be able to say a few words about the wine they serve - something more than "it is great, made specially for our boss and you can also buy it for home". In the end of day, it is an enoteka in Italy, not a bazaar in the...
Read moreAnswer to the owner: let’s be accurate, our bill was 80 euros. But it is not the main point at all. Actually just noticed that this was the biggest bill in Sardinia but not the best pleasant service at the same time, that is. And yes, we had a great time in this place despite of the intrusive service. Nevertheless good luck and wish you all the best.
Review- 05.07.2023 Nice wine bar at a first glance but the staff here is more focused to buy you products for home than remember your order for the evening. The manner of the staff is too intrusive - pointed at maximising your spend. Recommending only the biggest and most expensive boards. Repeating that everything is homemade and you can also buy it for home. Multiple times. Over and over again. And then once more. The prices are on the higher end. A glass of wine starts from 6 EUR. For comparison there is other wine bar that was more centrally located and offered a better variety of reasonably-priced wines. Read moreMy family and I arrived late to St. Teresa Gallura and almost every restaurant was closed. Not Shardana, and fortunately it was right around the corner from our room at TreSOR.
The ambiance was peaceful and enjoyable and the seating is outside. There are lovely Sardinian gourmet items in the shop to peruse.
The service was excellent. Our server, Anita, was attentive and helpful. She recommended excellent food and drink choices and we could not have been happier with her recommendations.
We ordered an excellent local bottle of wine and “the Kevin” charcuterie board with extra honey. It was a generous portion and absolutely delicious. My daughter ordered the wild boar bolognese for one. The dish looked kind of small when it came out, but it ended up being a perfect portion.
Anita recommended a local dessert that we enjoyed very much, and she brought us a taste of their local digestive liqueur afterwards, which was unexpected and delicious.
Before we left, we met the hospitable owner and his lovely wife, who made us feel right at home. Overall, we appreciated the great food and service we experienced at this lovely restaurant, and hope to stop there again...
