I can only think of one word to truly describe this jewel - exquisite! When I think of our many dining experiences in Sicily, this will forever be foremost in my memories. Let's begin with the wine! For white we had the Toratore Etna Bianco with it's strong mineral and ash up-front aroma and pears and apples on the pallet. This was pared with the Tuna tar tar (hand chopped, not ground), the smoked tuna and swordfish and piata di salumi. For red we had my singular favorite Sicilian wine - a 2019 Trancredi by Donnafugata. Rich earthy aromas with notes of plum and black currents. In spite of it's 14% alcohol content, this wine drinks very well. For our main course we had the pasta melanzane, the trancia di tono, pasta with muscles and pistachio and a mixed grill of swordfish, prawn and squid. All delicious!
The chef/owner takes great pride in his craft, using locally sourced, fresh ingredients; you can taste the love in every bite. Our waitress, Christina, was outstanding, we were a party of eight (seven of whom do not speak Italian) and she was very helpful and a lot of fun!

Cominciamo nel dire che la zuppa di cozze viene servita in maniera decisamente scarsa ( le cozze costano 3.50€al kg, metterne anche 1kg non credo che fallireste!!), servita con i crostini mignon in stile zuppa invernale! Il mio compagno ha ordinato della carne ( lasciamo stare la dimensione perché indescrivibile in quanto a pochezza!) con contorno di patate ( invisibili). Chiaramente appena seduti avevamo visto il menu’ Carissimo,ma non ci immaginavamo davvero questa pochezza.In sintesi voglio dire che ; questo stile GOURMET non piace a nessuno, perché’ la gente si siede per mangiare non per leccare il piatto e strapagare.
