Would AVOID - less than mediocre experience. Over 50% of the menu was unavailable (due to not being “in season) including the items the waiter himself recommended. My husband wanted the red mullet which was not available, the waiter recommended the fritto misto instead as it was the restaurant’s speciality which was anaemic (see picture) when it arrived and clearly frozen. Our wine which would have helped the food go down never turned up but was on the bill. The flush in the women’s toilet didn’t m work nor did the hand dryer which isn’t a great sign in corona virus times. Overall a really disappointing experience considering the fact we found this place from usually reliable website (the thinking traveller) and the 4 star google rating. Maybe it was good at some point but it certainly...

Our group was well looked after by Rossella and Giuseppe at the Trattoria as well as at our villa in the hills of Marsala for an entire week. From discussing and agreeing the menu to dining at the Trattoria and all the meals that were served for us at the villa, we had a fantastic and genuine local experience and tasted delicious food all based on locally sourced fresh and in season ingredients. Some personal favourites were the fish cous cous, the sardines cooked in several ways, the pasta with Marsalese pesto, the delicious meat involtini and the baked sausages… not forgetting the Sicilian caponata…and the list could go on! An excellent experience that made us feel at home, and part of the family. Thank you and we...

I strongly suggest you avoid this place, here’s why: we ordered the credite tartare as a starter, our waiter brought an oyster platter and when we pointed out that we hadn’t ordered that he said he told the table next to us that they were out of tartare but not us. They didn’t offer to bring anything else to replace it or anything. service generally very, very slow, not attentive, chaotic bruschetta were nice but overpriced for 3 pieces the Marsala escalope was very bland, unappetizing plating, sides were very very average we asked for a wine menu, they never came to ask if we wanted to order any a bit of a scam in terms of the food, the...

A friend of mine and I recently had dinner in this restaurant located right inside the old gates of the city. The location was on point and we enjoyed the place and food. We had some fish appetizers, fried fish, pasta with clams and a 2 glasses of wine. I am local and enjoyed the food, it has a wide range of dishes but little wine selection (marsala is the city of wine so I would suggest to have different varieties just to make sure that basic wines like bio, sparkling or other types can be requested). Overall, we liked it and the prices were average. Around 60 euros 2 people for 2 main courses, one shared appetizer, glasses of wine and coffee. Enjoy it!

[ fresh seafood dishes ] Didn’t expect the quality to be that amazing when merely seeing from outside. It is absolutely an amazing experience to have lunch here as the fish carborana is a so tasty combination of flavourful cheese flakes, freshly grinds of black pepper and the perfectly al dente pasta. Beyond any words, I’d say it is a great experience to have this beautiful meal here.
