Located in a lovely Piazza, perhaps a good spot for a quick beverage. We had lunch; I chose the famed local tagliatta and having had this numerous times, I’ve lived in Florence where it is also a local dish, I had never been served a less desirable steak dish. I ate the meat that was available, and left the fat and tendons behind. I mentioned it to the waiter when he came to pickup the dish. I said I hadn’t seen such a dish, he very confidently said that it’s the way the local beef is. They love it and it’s the way they serve it here. Forward to the dinner restaurant, I still had a taste for the tagliatta and so I ordered it there, and voila, high quality meat cuts, no excessive fat. The service wasn't great either, the waiter was bothered that we asked to split a 4 top to a two so we could sit in the front. Amazing reply to my comments. Firstly the biting were offered to others without request, I know this as we asked the Italian girls sitting next to us and they confirmed they received them free of charge. When they informed the waiter he came over to ask if we wanted some. The original waiter seemed to have disappeared then.
