This is hands down my favorite place in Messina if not in Italy. Their freshly made canoli and gelato are one of the best in the world!! Trust me, I've tried sooo many gelateria & paticceria in Italy and Ragusa is just on another level. The gentleman owner are also the cutest and the kindest, he looks very quiet and straightforward. But, from my personal experience, he's a softie inside. I've been here sooo many times for the past year than one day when I came with 4 of my friends and he's almost closing. He gave us sooooo much free stuff and he even insist to give us more to go!! He's the best and I'm very thankful!! The granita and cannoli are amazing. The strawberry granita tastes like frozen liquid strawberry, and the coffee granita tastes like actual coffee - not an artificial or watered down flavour. It is full strength - a must for coffee lovers. The cannoli is delicious, from the cream to the pastry. My only constructive criticism is the outdoors dining area - there are only high chairs and a high service bench if you don't go inside. This small pasticceria gelateria is tucked into a corner. It's a very small shop but packs a delicious assortment of pastries, cakes, biscuits, marzipan, gelato, etc. They have won consecutive awards and by the taste of their authentic Sicilian cannoli (chocolate & pistachio), very well deserved.
