FAT SAM at the Winery — Restaurant in Milan

The restaurant offers a nice atmosphere, serves a delicious bun and sauces, but there are areas that need improvement. Specifically, the fried chicken, which should be their strength, was undercooked—a significant issue. The reason for this seemed to be that the chicken was too thick, making it risky to cook properly. On the positive side, when we informed them about the undercooked chicken, they promptly prepared a new one. Unfortunately, the second burger was fried longer, resulting in an overly dark exterior. Despite what seemed to be overcooked, the inside was still slightly undercooked, but we didn’t want them to prepare another one, so we didn’t mention it.

We tried two burgers from the menu: one with habanero sauce and the other with roasted aioli. We also tried the truffle fries and the fried popcorn chicken. For dessert, we had the only option available, which was vanilla ice cream topped with confetti sugar and chocolate sauce. The toppings were unnecessary in my opinion, but I think they were trying to make it as American as possible, so it’s okay.

The presentation of the food was mouth-watering. The habanero sauce was deliciously spicy, but the ikura inside the roasted aioli burger was not a good match in my opinion. Portion sizes were generous, larger than what we are accustomed to here in Italy.

Our evening ended unexpectedly when the staff informed us at 22:10 that they were closing, despite the website indicating they remain open until 23:00 on Fridays. This early closure was both disappointing and confusing.

Words cannot describe what it is like to eat at Fatsam but I will try: Perfect food from A-Z , the best crispy chicken I have ever had in my life + probably the best fries. They make everything in-house, the bun, the mayo, the pickles. Every little thing has been thought at and PERFECTED. Friendly and kind service which is rare in Milano. Very good natural wines. The best atmosphere overall.

I could tell that everybody who works there really believe in the product and really love their work place. It shows.

What is left to say? I guess perfection is rare but...

so, this is the best fried chicken in Milan. The place is really nice and the experience thought of. the only 2 small problems are the price and the wait for the food, but both could be ignored by thinking of this as a fine winin' and dinin' experience and not a fast food. at the end of the day if you crave a really good and new fried chicken sandwich go here, it's gonna be worth it. ps the maitre is really nice...
