I went there this weekend, but the menu wasn’t as tasty as the one I used to have in Paris. The “secret sauce” has nothing to do with the real sauce verte de l’entrecôte. The salad wasn’t good either it lacked that French touch with mustard (moutarde). On top of that, the service was terrible, and the way the dishes were served was really disappointing. The price is also way too high in France it’s €29, and here I had to pay €35 for food that’s shorter in portion and lower in quality. I’d suggest they stick to Italian gastronomy instead of trying to do something they can’t make as good or even similar. And please don’t tell me it was “adapted for Italian taste” when you open a restaurant representing another country, it should stay true to that country’s cuisine, not try to please local tastes.( im not french but im food lover ) If you call your place La Rue and sell a French experience, at least make sure it tastes like one otherwise, just call it La Via and keep it Italian. And please, change how the dishes are made and served presentation matters too.

We waited more than an hour for a table, which was not something unheard of. Yet, our whole group has been to the restaurants in Paris and hasn’t faced such a queue. After we got seated, we immediately got menus and then were served salads. The salad was perfect. However, after that we had to wait more than 35 min for our main. The meat was also served rather tempered than hot, but was still okay. The taste and the sauce were a bit off, but the fries were great. The staff wanted to compensate us for the long wait so they offered us wine or dessert on the house, which was very kind. The environment was very loud and it was difficult to hear the people you were with.

La Rue is a cozy place with a nice French look and atmosphere. During peak hours or weekends you’ll probably have to wait in line — the staff really tries to be efficient, but the place is often so crowded that timing can get a bit tricky.

The food is good overall: the meat was decent, though a bit chewy in my case, while the fries were excellent — crispy and flavorful. The signature sauce is nice (though that’s personal taste). You definitely need to go for the second round of both steak and fries to feel satisfied.

I had a Heineken — nothing special, but served very cold and super refreshing. I didn’t try desserts because the place was too busy.

Overall, what you pay is what you get: fair value, good vibes, and I’d definitely...
