Momus Bar — Restaurant in Milan

I hadn't planned to write a review, but after you replied to the review of my friend stating a couple of untruths, I changed my mind. In one sentence, I can only confirm the negative comments in the previous reviews regarding the extremely unfriendly service.

Coming to my personal experience: We had booked a table on New Year's Eve. When we arrived, we were seated outside in winter, while it was raining. Contrary to what you wrote we didn't expect to be seated inside, but it would have been nice if you told us in advance when making the reservation that you are planning to seat us outside on that cold rainy winter day. Besides, we were also the only guests that sat outside. I don't know where the more than 30 other guests you're talking about were hiding, but I certainly couldn't see them. So far so good, despite this "extremely friendly welcome" we stayed, and you gave us the drinks menu. Since I wasn't feeling too well that day, I wasn't sure whether I should order something alcoholic and needed some time to think. Unfortunately, you hardly gave us any time to think and told us we must order something now. Our request for more thinking time was harshly refused. Perplexed that such a normal request was denied, I wanted to order water, as it seemed to be the least problematic choice and I saw no problem with ordering something else later when I had the time to have a better look at the menu. You only replied that I could not order water because it wouldn't cost enough, and I would therefore have to order a non-alcoholic cocktail as an "alternative". When I didn't want to order such an alternative, you became even more rude and indirectly asked us to leave. Given that treatment, we obviously followed your suggestion and left.

I can say by far that this was really the most unfriendly and inhuman service I have ever experienced. I can't recommend to anyone who values a friendly service and atmosphere to visit this bar. My suggestions for improving your service would be to make a couple of New Year's resolutions for yourself, the first would be to be nicer to people and the second is to get some good glasses if you see people where...

Devo accodarmi alle altre recensioni negative.. Siamo giunti a questo locale attorno all' una di notte per bere qualcosa in tranquillità e chiudere la serata dopo un concerto. Capisco che è un cocktail bar e tutto, però suggerirei di modificare il menù ed essere più chiari con i clienti, dato che nel menù erano segnati amari e distillati a 5 euro ma praticamente mi è stato impedito di prenderli con una spiegazione poco chiara ( ho capito dopo che praticamente, anche se erano nel menù , potevano essere presi solo al bancone e che sicuramente era una questione di prezzo.. non viene detto chiaramente ma il concetto è: devi spendere almeno otto euro se vuoi stare seduto), ho chiesto anche di prendermi un po' di tempo per riflettere sulla scelta ( tempo che mi è stato negato) e quando poi ho optato per un calice di vino anche li il cameriere si è dimostrato perplesso della mia scelta. Per questo motivo consiglierei di far pagare il coperto e lasciare la gente libera di prendere quello che vuole o scrivere apertamente nel menù che è richiesto un minimo di consumazione o che alcune cose si servono solo al banco. Meglio la chiarezza che " le supercazzole".
