Pizzeria Ristorante Salernitano — Restaurant in Milan

Dined here on my final night with a friend. I ordered fish as main course and was stunned when they brought the portion infront of me. It was a kids portion, looked unispring and tasted much of nothing. Cheese, piece of broccoli chopped with the piece of fish and on top 1 cherry tomato: 19€! My italian friend was ashamed when he saw my portion compared to his pastaportion. He talked about it to the waiter, but the waiter said that he couldn’t do anything about it. Really? Usually restaurants try to make it up if customer is dissapointed. I left the restaurant hungry, extremely dissapointed and full of sweat as the place had no airco or fans and Italy was having heatwave. New year's eve at 2pm with nowhere to go, myself and my partner popped our heads into this place. Although fully booked the staff made room to accommodate us both for a meal on new years eve at such short notice. Upon arrival we were given our table immediately. The staff were extremely efficient, friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was fantastic. Full of locals. Not a typical tourist place. The food was cooked to perfection being a fillet steak and very reasonably priced. Our only regret is not staying for dessert and seeing in the new year in this wonderful establishment. We dined in here on the 14th of November 2023 and it was the best meal we’ve had in Italy! Everything from the service to the food was fantastic… Our server (we don’t know his name but he was a caucasian man with bald head) was so kind, helpful, and humorous… There was also an Asian man working there and he was helpful and humble. Even the cashier/server (older caucasian man) was kind and polite!

We ordered the cuttlefish ink pasta and a fish dish with broccoli, they were delicious.

We were so tempted to pay a visit before it closes at 11pm but unfortunately we were too tired as we had to leave early the next day. Needless to say, we will come back to this restaurant if we ever visit...
