Ristorante Giapponese Mami — Restaurant in Milan

Touched base for dinner, smoggy table for two out in the patio which in the city of Milan most of the times is equal to eating on the street literally surrounded by cars getting parked next to your table. Therefore, forget the “zen vibes” and all the other nice touches you’d be expecting in a sushi restaurant.

Menu went for sushi special, not so special frankly. Tried a few more dishes scarce quantities with everything. Tuna & salmon temaki ridiculous portions. See the slip? Looks like we had gorgeous dinner huh? Believe it or not, once left the Mami restaurant went for a cheese / charcuterie platter in a wine bar nearby.

The only positive think at Mami was the decent wine for a reasonable price - I believe the wine list has changed though.

I’m surprised by the good score this place has. It is not worth it and not fair for other businesses. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The sushi was bad and the karaage was worst. The chicken was 3/4 inflated dough and 1/4 air. Never found the chicken. Not worthy to say this is Japanese. Calling it Japanese food would be an offense to other...

La qualità é altissima, niente a che vedere con gli all you can eat (che comunque non disdegno mai). La differenza di prezzo é di 10-20€, ma li vale tutti. La cena di sushi qui é di tipo diverso, sei portato a gustare i piatti e a prenderne meno. Le porzioni sono ricche e abbondanti. L'ambiente é piacevolissimo, intimo e accogliente, ricorda il giappone. Il personale é gentile, molto cordiale, ti fa sentire a tuo agio. Noi eravamo in 5, e i tempi di attesa devo dire che sono stati assolutamente perfetti. A fine serata ci siamo messi a chiacchierare col proprietario con un digestivo e la pancia piena, é stata una serata bellissima. Ci torneremo...
