Rosso Mattone — Restaurant in Milan

There we are, two foreigners enjoying Milano. We get served huge pork cuttlets as well as half-cooked zucchini and eggplants. As my friend and I are talking, one of the older waiters comes by our table. Without a sound and very swiftly, almost ninja-like, he takes away the salt (which was sitting 5cm away from my hand and which I was very much using to season the raw vegetables) and walks away without a word. There I sat, stunned in silence, as I watched my condiment fly to a regular customer's table. My vegetables ? Uncooked and unsalted. My ego ? Bruised. The pork cuttlet a la Milanese ? Very tasty.

Had to ask for another salt which was also taken from another customer's table.

Maybe... Buy more salt ? Otherwise the waitress...

We had a lovely time at this restaurant. Our waiter made us feel very welcome. We started with a cocktail and ordered their Rosso Mattone pizza and Penne Arabbiata. Never hurts to order the restaurant's signature pizza, it was tasty and for one person, probably too much but I overcame that, I was hungry (it looks like you can take what you don't eat with you). The Penne had a little spice to it but done tastefully, not like some places that kill the flavor of the food with too much spicy heat. We sat outside on a beautiful Milan night. I slept for five days in a hotel near this restaurant which looked good from the outside but on the third day we have dinner my girlfriend was sick all night she was worried I took her to the hospital for a visit and the doctors who were very kind they told me that my girlfriend ate expired meat and that she probably had a stomach infection. after this experience I advise against not going to eat there to avoid big problems to your health and I could report to the police but unfortunately they did not understand my English well and for this I did this review on this restaurant so that someone else can stop...
