Da Ciccio & Paolo in Milan is a gem for anyone who loves authentic Italian pizza. We were lucky to find it just a short walk from our hotel, and it turned out to be one of the best food experiences of our trip.
From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome set the tone. The staff were friendly, attentive, and full of charm. They made us feel like regulars, even though it was our first visit. Their genuine hospitality added to the relaxed and cosy atmosphere, making the restaurant feel like a true neighbourhood favourite.
Now, the pizza. It was easily the best we had in Milan. The dough was light, perfectly charred around the edges, and had that ideal balance of crisp and chew. You could taste the care and skill that went into every step of preparation. The fresh tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, and quality ingredients spoke for themselves.
We ordered two pizzas: the classic Margherita and a vegetarian option. The Margherita was a masterclass in simplicity done right. The tomato base was rich and slightly sweet, the mozzarella melted beautifully, and the fresh basil gave it that perfect finishing touch. The vegetarian pizza was equally impressive, topped with a generous mix of seasonal vegetables that added both flavour and colour. Every bite was fresh and satisfying without feeling heavy.
What stood out most was how well-balanced everything tasted. No ingredient overpowered another. It was clear that the kitchen takes pride in using fresh, high-quality produce, and it made all the difference.
The atmosphere inside Da Ciccio & Paolo was lively but comfortable. Locals and visitors alike filled the tables, which is always a good sign. The open, friendly vibe matched the quality of the food perfectly. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a casual meal, have a good conversation, and leave with a smile.
We finished our meal completely satisfied, already planning to return before leaving Milan. For anyone visiting the city and looking for genuine Italian pizza made with care and tradition, Da Ciccio & Paolo is worth the stop. The combination of friendly service, quality ingredients, and expert cooking makes it stand out among Milan’s many pizzerias.

No toppings to hide behind and it was delicious. Do yourself a favor and try...
