It’s the perfect afternoon snack stop if you’re in Modena. Located at in mercato and given the beautiful weather I decided to stop and eat before training it back to Bologna. Ci siamo fermati a Modena per mangiare e siamo arrivati poco prima della chiusura. Location suggestiva, nel mercato coperto Albinelli. La struttura ha conservato il suo fascino storico ed è piacevole. Piatti molto buoni e dai sapori particolari con combinazioni di sapori che sono piaciute anche ai bambini. Porzioni dei primi piatti decisamente piccole e quando il cuoco, a fine orario se ne va, non servono più niente. Neanche dolci già preparati o altre portare semplici. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è alto, quello quantità-prezzo non così tanto. Siamo stati contenti per il cibo, che ci ha davvero estasiati, non altrettanto per l'esperienza in sé. Avremmo gradito un po' più di "calore" nel personale e disponibilità. Ma forse l'orario di chiusura e prioritario. Per dare un giudizio migliore bisognerà riprovare in un orario che consenta di godersi un pranzo con più calma. Riproverò appena possibile.

Simply adorable! Great food, excellent service (rare for Italy, to be honest), and a TERRIFIC selection of local wines by the owner! They can’t be more personal and welcoming to everyone as I felt totally cared for, and it was sincere. A must visit! ❤️ Can’t recommend the place more 👍

Me and my wife had very high expectations about Modena and its ragù. We went to Mercato Albinelli in the heart of Modena as it was suggested to us, unfortunately our thoughts were not matched at all as we had probably one the worse lasagna ever, dry and with little to none ragù sauce. Modena is a beautiful city and surely we will go back but we won't go back to L'antica bottega and I would not suggest to anyone to go even though the location is very cozy. Service was a little slow but everyone was very nice and polite that's why I did not give 1 star, prices are a little bummed but you can expect it due to the location very central...

Antica Bottega is truly a jewel at the Mercato Albinelli in Modena, and its owner Giuseppe is a very friendly person and an excellent host. He will offer you one of the best meals in this lovely market. In a very relaxed atmosphere you will feel the happiness from the Italian way of living, the dolce far niente, while you sip some delicious wine. Many thanks Giuseppe and I will return one day!
